Caribbean Cruising – Haiti & Jamaica | Royal Caribbean

It’s not often that you can claim to have woken up in a different country four days in a row but that’s exactly what happened when Adam and I took to the seas and embarked on our first full length cruise, courtesy of Royal Caribbean. A quick plane ride (please note the sarcasm as this plane […]

Origin London – Exhibition | 30th July – 19th August

posted by on 21/07/2011

Ah I’m proud of young Gabriel. The 17-year old started independent clothing company Origin London last year, released a logo tee to get the name out there and this summer, they are back with four limited edition t-shirts and an exhibition. At 17 years old, all I cared about was football, females and probably under-aged alcohol consumption? This kid already has a venture and direction, I was clueless. For this 2nd drop, he’s teamed up with UK art collectives TIMC (This Is My Costume) and Puck to produce this collection. More on the reverse.

The exhibition kick starts on my birthday (all of you should have sent money to my account already) – 30th July and runs till the 19th August. The tees, along with each of the art collectives work will be exhibited at Orange Dot Gallery. Here’s a bit of background on both the art crews:

Puck Collective is a highly regarded group of illustrators on London’s graphic art scene.  Following the success of their group show at London’s C.A.M.P, the collective exhibited at Somerset House’s Pick Me Up, which quickly cemented their position as one of the most exciting group of young illustrators in the UK.

Babyrow and Robbie’s Brown Shoes will represent the collective at the exhibition with a few rare illustrations and prints alongside their Origin London tees. Here’s a sneak peak of of Babybrow inking his design. Incredible.

TIMC are a self-proclaimed “organised crime cartel” with a passion for drawing. They say, “We don’t really agree with un-fun artwork or think about things too much. We draw what we want and nothing too emotional.” The three gents and one lady that make up TIMC, who normally use London’s backdrop as their canvas, will mark their gallery debut with a selection of new works.

Origin London will screen-print two designs from each collective, with a limited run of 30 tees per design. Each one will be hand numbered, signed and boxed in exclusive packing witha bonus mixtape by each artist. More details below:
