Caribbean Cruising – Haiti & Jamaica | Royal Caribbean

It’s not often that you can claim to have woken up in a different country four days in a row but that’s exactly what happened when Adam and I took to the seas and embarked on our first full length cruise, courtesy of Royal Caribbean. A quick plane ride (please note the sarcasm as this plane […]

Alexander Wang 2012 Spring/Summer Collection

posted by on 25/06/2011

If you’re a person who loves to keep things simple when it comes to fashion but still want that fashionable edge to your look then this collection is for you. Alexander Wang in his 2012 Spring/Summer Collection showcases simple yet fashionable pieces through out the collection. A simple sweater given that enhanced high fashion twist through the use of leather patches on the shoulder is a prime example. The collection is fairly muted in terms of colour, with black, blue and khaki being the core colour pallet but in my opinion this just adds to that simple minimal feel. However I do feel that with this subdued colour pallet the collection, minus the shorts, lends itself more to the Fall/Winter season rather than the Spring/Summer season. I don’t know if you can tell but I really like this collection, do you? Let me know what your opinions are when you view the full collection after the cut.

Michael Jackson

posted by on 25/06/2011

The title of this post says everything that needs to be said. While we could choose to be really sad on this day  we suggest that we celebrate the genius of the greatest entertainer that has ever lived. Remember why you loved and still love the man with the glove and play his greatest hits all day long. Have a toast to Michael Jackson and have a great day.

Come Rhyme With Me!

posted by on 25/06/2011

Spoken word is in art form said to have originated from court bards battling on stage. – taken from yesterday’s Metro. Today it has evolved into a popular alternative to music gigs, bars and club nights. I only grew to like this form of poetry in the past year when Yemi linked me to a piece by an American spoken-word artist. It’s taken off big time in LDN in the past year and Come Rhyme With Me is one of the more popular nights. The event takes place on the last Friday of every month and a bargain £5 for entry, £10 with food – it’s perfect. More on the reverse.

The Dark Knight Rises | Trailer

posted by on 24/06/2011

One of the most anticipated sequels in a very long time set to drop next year July: The Dark Knight Rises. The first film is by far one of the best films I have seen and I think I speak for a lot of people when I say I cannot wait for the third film. Well a couple days ago a trailer surfaced on youtube claiming to be the official trailer for the new film, however it is a fan made video… so I lied. Very well made, the video has attracted almost 480,000 hits but im sorry after the first 10 secs it was too obvious it wasn’t real! What you think? Watch it after the cut.

HP TouchPad | Works Like Nothing Else

posted by on 24/06/2011

Could this be the one thats going to wipe Apple’s iPad off the face of the market…? Highly doubt it but I say it has a shot. At first glance the HP TouchPad looks quite exciting: boasting a bright 9.7 inch screen, built in webcam and a sleek rounded exterior, the Touchpad is a worthy adversary to the iPad assteically. Whillas & Gunn Spring/Summer 2012 Lookbook

posted by on 24/06/2011

This Australian brand has been featured on the site on numerous occasions. However I’m yetl to make my first purchase from them, this is mainly due to the fact much of their products aren’t stocked in the country. I do have some good news, our friends over at My-Wardrobe will have some of their A/W 2010 – you guys should definitely look out for the bags on offer. Whillas & Gunn have already unveiled a lookbook for their Spring/Summer 2011 season. They’ve continued with the Australian ‘heritage‘  vibe here with streetwear influences with a functional take on tailored clothing. The lookbook portrays classic formal pieces mixed with utilitarian touches – button downs, waist coats lightweight trenchcoat, canvas bags and more. Continues after the cut.
