Caribbean Cruising – Haiti & Jamaica | Royal Caribbean

It’s not often that you can claim to have woken up in a different country four days in a row but that’s exactly what happened when Adam and I took to the seas and embarked on our first full length cruise, courtesy of Royal Caribbean. A quick plane ride (please note the sarcasm as this plane […]

Terje Sorgjerd | The Arctic Light

posted by on 28/06/2011

I have posted his work before, if you remember the time-lapse video filmed in El Teide, Spain. Terje has produced an even more amazing video this time filmed in his homeland Norway. The Norwegian film maker captured this over a period of a month and the sites we see here are of the arctic parts of Norway called Archipelago Lofoten, it’s so beautiful. Enjoy the lapse after the jump.

Edwin I.D.W.P Collection Short Film

posted by on 28/06/2011

After launching the video that brought us insight into how the Edwin Denim range is brought to life, the label have put out this short film to further showcase their latest collection. Usually videos like this don’t work because the audience forget that they’re looking out for the clothes-  so at first I thought this was not that great of a method in terms promoting and showcasing the clothing. However watching it again I think they did a good job in keeping the focus on what the actors were wearing with plenty of close ups of the garments. Watch the cool vintage inspired short film after the cut..

How To Make It In America – Season 2 Teaser

posted by on 27/06/2011

It’s not where you’ve been but where you’re going. Real talk right there. One of the many things that made me fall in love with this show – it’s real and relatable. You get to see the character’s struggle to success, this is the story of them making it. If you want to see a TV show of folks showing off what they’ve made and living the ‘life’ then go watch Entourage. It’s made by the same people! go watch Season 1 online or on Sky before Season 2 of How To Make It In America kicks off in September. Peep the trailer on the reverse.

FIFA Women's World Cup

posted by on 27/06/2011

Women’s football has come a long long way in the past few years and I’ve been a keen follower for a while now. As an Arsenal fan…our women’s team has been our only source of trophies so it was more than likely to happen! Arsenal men’s team, ya’ll could learn a few lessons from watching the FIFA Women’s World Cup which kick started yesterday with Germany defeating Canada 2-1. I’m not a fan of ze Germans, have you seen the size of Brigit Prinz? She shouldn’t be playing in the women’s game haha. Anyway, our English ladies kick start their tournament this afternoon against the Mexicans. Y&Y Family member Eniola will be upfront, YES you read that right. Be sure to watch her on BBC at 5:15, press the red button. Good luck Eni and the rest of the England team! More information on their fixtures on the reverse.

Louis Vuitton S/S12 Collection

posted by on 27/06/2011

This is the first time I have liked a Louis Vuitton clothing collection as I usually find them quite bland and transitional, aside from their bags and footwear which are grade A. Their spring/summer 2012 collection has slightly changed my opinion of the designer: I love how they dabbled in the sportswear pond and incorporated this into a sophisticated everyday feel along with suave tailoring, a neutral colour palette and impressive bags & accessories. Indali Lounge – Review

posted by on 26/06/2011

I’ve got a gripe with Indian restaurants in the UK. A lot of them just aren’t authentic, the quality of food is fantastically poor and spiceless in many of the ones you’ll find on Brick Lane. Indian food is spicy – if you go to an Indian restaurant and don’t have your taste buds set on fire during the meal then there’s clearly something wrong with your meal. You get the ‘clean’ washed down version of our cuisine, eating food that lacks spices is like reading a blog that lacks opinion. Most of them keep their food for days on end, some might even be microwaved ready made meals ha! Why do it to yourself? Do some research online before heading out for one. Indali Lounge is definitely not one of those. More on the reverse.

The Augmented Reality Cinema App

posted by on 26/06/2011

Check this pretty cool app out, the Augmented Reality Cinema app. When you hold the camera on your iPhone up the app is designed to recognise famous film locations and if you happen to in the right place the the app will play a clip from a film that was shot in the exact location you are standing in. It’s one of those apps that doesn’t benefit your life dramatically but is still pretty cool to have. I believe the app works worldwide but for now check out some examples of how it would work here in the one and only LONDON *brap* lol.

Captain America: 'The First Avenger' Trailers

posted by on 26/06/2011

I’m not as psyched up for this one as I was with X-Men: First class, partially because I always thought Captain America was really lame when I was kid… with his American Flag shield *side eye*.  However I will watch it because it is one of the marvel films and by the looks of the trailers here after the cut, the film is boasting really good special FX and a more contemporary take as with the new Mortal Kombat online series. The second trailer just surfaced a few days ago, I believe the film is set for release in the UK on July 22nd, peep both trailers after the cut.
