Caribbean Cruising – Haiti & Jamaica | Royal Caribbean

It’s not often that you can claim to have woken up in a different country four days in a row but that’s exactly what happened when Adam and I took to the seas and embarked on our first full length cruise, courtesy of Royal Caribbean. A quick plane ride (please note the sarcasm as this plane […]

ASOS Magazine

posted by on 02/06/2011

Did y’all know that there is such a thing as an ASOS Magazine? Well there is, i’ve only just found this out and to be honest i’m quite ashamed that I didn’t know about this sooner. As it so happens the time that I discover the mag is when they have Zoe Kravitz on the front cover with an accompanying interview. This fact is relevant due to the fact that Yin and Yang went to watch the new movie in which she stars yesterday. This movie being X-Men. Coinciding with Yang’s impending review of the film I thought it would be apt for me to write this post. Peep stills from the mag shot by Danielle Levitt and read extracted quotes from her interview after the cut.

Passarella Death Squad Autumn/Winter 2011 T-Shirts

posted by on 02/06/2011

The good folk over at Passarella Death Squad have unveiled some of their t-shirts from the Autumn/Winter 2011 collection. Guess photographed them? Yours truly. Well me and my girlfriend, she’s a handy assistant and an exceptional photographer. We shot this inside an arcade so it tied in with the tees – they take inspiration from old school video games such as Donkey Kong and Mario. The classics from NES/SNES days! It’s the first time I’ve seen PDS introduce some colour into their designs and was definitely a fun shoot to do. Though we had to play hide and seek with the security at the arcade, it was definitely 007 photography going on here. Ya’ll should be able to cop these online soon. More imagery on the reverse.

Throwback Thursday

posted by on 02/06/2011

Today I felt like really taking it back. I may only be 22 years old but this hasn’t stopped me getting acquainted with many songs from the eras that came before me. This particular song is by Reverend Al Green. Yes I took it there, Al Green was the one back in the day and his songs never get old. Take your self back and enjoy the track.

So it’s been 2 weeks since I handed in my final assignments at University. It’s fair to say that it has taken this long for me to get used to the lazy lifestyle again, one where I can get more than 3 hours sleep. Sigh. It’s strange, I don’t miss university but I miss being busy and occupied. Y&Y does keep me busy to an extent but there are no deadlines to meet.

H&M WaterAid Collection

posted by on 01/06/2011

Couple days ago H&M announced their involvement in some totally selfless anthropology as they launched yet again their Water Aid collection. Water aid is an international charity organisation that quite fittingly aims to provide safe and sanitised water around the world. H&M have put together a nice collection of summer attire comprising of linen shirts, shorts and tees for men and for women bikinis, dresses and other pieces. For every item that is purchased, 25% will go straight to Water Aid to further aid their cause. So if you still need to get some gear for the summer then here is your chance to get them at a reasonable price whilst being charitable. On a shallow note, did I mention that the photography is amazing!

F2 Football Freestyle Vol 1 Preview

posted by on 01/06/2011

The term ‘unbelievable tekkers’ is being used everywhere now, mostly by footballers to describe the technique of a player that just leaves you jaw dropped. There are some players with tekkers that do things with the ball and you just think, ‘How?!’. That is how I felt when I watched this promo video. I came across this F2 football freestyle promo yesterday and was pretty amazed. I tried some of the moves in training today and nearly hurt myself! Catch the promo after the jump.

Alexander McQueen x Puma: Black collection

posted by on 01/06/2011

Whilst I was shopping in New York yesterday I came across the Alexander McQueen and Puma black store. Usually brands only have a section of a store dedicated to a collection so it was surprising to see a store dedicated to the brands’ collaboration entirely. Clearly the collaboration between the late McQueen and Puma is very successful. The blog have done a few posts on the Alexander McQueen/Puma collaboration previously so I thought I’d add to it by posting on the black collection unisex shoes. I love the unique simplicity of all the trainers particularly the all white AMQ leap print women’s shoe. Check out some of the collection after the jump.

352. Silhouettes, Regent's Park | LDN.365

posted by on 01/06/2011

#LoveLDN. That should be trending topic! I took this earlier tonight whilst  taking a quick stroll through Regent’s Park with my other half after an interesting restaurant research study at London Business School. It was really abstract and got me thinking out of the box about my experience at the restaurant; colours, shapes, smell, noise and so on. I didn’t originally plan to use this photograph but the colour ones didn’t come out how I wanted them to :( so went for the B&W, the shadows work for me.
