Caribbean Cruising – Haiti & Jamaica | Royal Caribbean

It’s not often that you can claim to have woken up in a different country four days in a row but that’s exactly what happened when Adam and I took to the seas and embarked on our first full length cruise, courtesy of Royal Caribbean. A quick plane ride (please note the sarcasm as this plane […]

Mortal Kombat Legacy – Episode 8 | Scorpion & Sub Zero Part 2

posted by on 31/05/2011

GET OVER HERE. Best way to start a new week (well…post bank holiday weekend) = watching a new episode of Mortal Kombat Legacy. If any of you watched the last episode then you’ll know it ended abruptly in the middle of Scorpion and Sub Zero‘s epic showdown. This episode we find out who’s victorious in that battle and what the consequences are for the loser, interesting end to the episode to say the least. It’s annoying that by the time I get into the episode it ends. This one was only around 6-7 minutes LONG. Dagnabbit. Peep it on the reverse.

Critsey Rowe's Creative Wedding Photography

posted by on 31/05/2011

This summer, I will get into wedding photography on way or another. A couple of great photographers have said they’ll let me assist them on wedding shoots so I can get the jist of it and to see if I can actually hack it. I can’t wait! it’s going to be fun shooting 2 people who are madly in love with each other, capturing the happiness will be fun. Critsey Rowe is a master of the art and she’s always redefined the way it’s done. These are without a doubt the most creative wedding photography shots I’ve seen! so different to many I’ve seen in the past. Who else shoots a couple under water? Madness. More on the reverse.

Woodkid – Iron | Music Video

posted by on 31/05/2011

Now this is an INSANE music video, probably one of the best from this year. It’s really nicely shot and the black & white works incredibly well to portray the tone and darkness of the song itself. It’s epic, I just love the way the tension builds up through out the video and it kept me hooked. The ending with the smoke bombs/black things falling from sky is easily my favourite part. Ya’ll probably recognise super model Agyness Deyn in there, she looks somewhat attractive again. Hallelujah! She’s decided to grow back her hair after going for that whacky Britney-esque buzz cut. I don’t have a clue who the band are but the singer/songwriter is also the director of this clip, Yoann Lemoine. I salute you sir, you are incredibly talented. Peep the video on the reverse.

I’m not going to go all evangelist mode on ya’ll as LDN.365 has been a very personal journey for me, I felt it was only right to show where I go on a Sunday. Feel free to join me! This is probably my first 365 with my new lens, you can’t really notice it’s full effect or potential here but trust you will soon. I have a LDN.365 waiting. God is good.

Tyler The Creator – GOBLIN | Album Review

posted by on 31/05/2011

After creating a fan base of over 100,000 screaming “Wolfgang! Wolfgang! Wolfgang! Wolfgang!“. When speaking about Tyler the Creator you can’t have a normal conversation without having the words “controversy” coming up.  The 20 year rapper with many personas, XL Record signee, and Odd Future front man Tyler the Creator  releases his sophomore album titled “GOBLIN“. The 18 track album features  fellow band mates such as Frank Ocean, Hodgy Beats, Left Brain, Jasper Dolphin & Taco and Mike G. Slated to be released May 10th because I couldn’t wait and got myself a copy a tad early and gave the album a listen.  Album review and favorites on the flipside.

Shoulda Woulda Coulda

Pleasure & Pain was the fifth album to be released by American quartet 112. The once Bad Boy record label signees have been M.I.A since the 2005 release due to their disbandment but it has been reported that they have gone back into the studio and a sixth album is on the way soon, however nothing is set in stone. Going back to their 2005 release, the album only had two single releases ‘U Already Know’ and‘What If’ neither of them gained major success however the album was still able to peek inside the top ten debuting at #4 selling 118,000 copies in its first week. ‘My Mistakes’ is one of the better tracks from the album and it is a wonder why it wasn’t released but I guess their loss is this posts gain. Please enjoy.

Lightelm – Ignite Promo Video

posted by on 30/05/2011

This is art. As always Salomon‘s work is of an exceptional level, he needs to make a feature length film. I would drool at the imagery and editing through out. The dancing, painting and the drummer – perfect, I love the use of raw sound too. It’s atmospheric. You wouldn’t think for a second this was a promo reel for a Church‘s event, well apart from the cross pictured above. I’ve featured him on Y&Y once before, ya’ll have to watch his short film here. Peep the promo video on the reverse.

The Anatomy Of A Lego Human Body

posted by on 30/05/2011

I’m a geek and ya’ll already know about my love for Lego so something like this was definitely going to get posted. Clay Morrow has used Lego bricks to recreate the human anatomy, all from scratch. it must have taken him time figuring out which pieces to use and putting it all together, especially all the internal organs. Wow. I know it may not seem impressive to those who don’t like Lego! If any Lego lover wants to recreate this, he’s provided step by step instructions over at his blog. More imagery on the reverse.
