Caribbean Cruising – Haiti & Jamaica | Royal Caribbean

It’s not often that you can claim to have woken up in a different country four days in a row but that’s exactly what happened when Adam and I took to the seas and embarked on our first full length cruise, courtesy of Royal Caribbean. A quick plane ride (please note the sarcasm as this plane […]

J. Crew Announce UK Online Store Launch

posted by on 17/04/2011

YES. One of my favourite American brands is finally make the cross Atlantic journey to the UK. The high-street brand who I would say are the US equivalent to Reiss, maybe little bit more casual than the UK brand but nothing wrong with that. They are known for their modern prepster staples like tailored jackets, navy suits, slim-cut chinos and footwear. Although Mr. Porter announced they shall be stocking key items from J.Crew it’s not quite the same as getting the full range from the brand itself. The launch will be online only for now but who knows. If this proves successful for them, I’m pretty sure they’ll open up a store here. We can expect the online store to arrive around August/September, can’t wait. Gives me time to save up.

307. Heron House | LDN.365

posted by on 17/04/2011

Another one from that walk to Chancery Lane from Covent Garden. The almost futuristic looking architecture captured my attention, love the curves. Always fascinates me how the builders achieved such a smooth gradient. Anyone a builder? Do tell how ya’ll do this. It’s art. After some research, I discovered this stand out building is called Heron House and is a prestige 1970′s Commerical Office Building.

The Original art label works will be showcased across 8 locations from artists including big names such as Jeff Koons and Tracy Emin among others. I’m a little late with the heads up on this one, the exhibitions started on the 11th. Find out how to take part in the Art Crawl and more after the cut.

Photographer Louis Lander-Deacon Levitates His Dreams

posted by on 16/04/2011

My oh my, this 17 year old photographer has ill skills. He’s showing crazy photography potential already, the UK-based student has created some mind blowing photography of people levitating in mysterious settings. I don’t know how he pulled this off, the only thing that comes to mind is wingardium leviosa from Harry Potter. I love his whole Dreamer series, each one is so magical and exceptionally well executed. I’m still baffled by how he did this, I want to a profile picture in this style but if I attempted to jump mid air and take a photograph…how will I land? won’t I hurt myself? More images on the reverse.

Prepare For The London Marathon

posted by on 16/04/2011

It’s that time of year again where ordinary people think that they are athletes and attempt to run the 26 mile run all in aid of charity, The Virgin London Marathon. The thought of running such a distance makes my legs hurt but with all the charities and other beneficiaries receiving sizeable donations one can’t help but feel that one day I must try to attempt this great run.  While I would like to congratulate all pending participants early this post is predominantly a reminder to all those who are not participating in the festivities of the charitable event that roads will be closed. So if anybody is planning a day out I suggest looking for alternative routes if your route is affected.

T-Mobile – 'Regal' Royal Wedding Dance Advert

posted by on 15/04/2011

Here’s the advert I mentioned in the teaser post yesterday. It’s finally here and I can now speak about it! well I don’t need to say much about it as all you have to do is click ‘read more’ and watch the video. T-Mobile UK blow a huge budget on their advertising and this time they capture the Royal Couple dancing away 2 weeks with the full wedding party which includes Prince Charles and Lady Camilla. The choreographed dance routine to East17′s 1990s corny track ‘House of Love’. The 3 minute film clip can be watched on the reverse.

Adidas Autumn/Winter 2011 Press Day Recap

posted by on 15/04/2011

Adidas have definitely stepped up the designs for their Y-3 brand, you’ve already seen the S/S 2011 collection for them in DJB’s post earlier tonight. It’s fair to say this time, I was more impressed by their ‘fashion’ lines SLVR and Y-3 than the Originals and Performance stuff. Originals has a great advertising campaign but for some reason, the products are lacking this season. There were some nice pieces though and the weirdly wonderful pieces by the one and only Jeremy Scott. Plenty more imagery on the reverse!
