Caribbean Cruising – Haiti & Jamaica | Royal Caribbean

It’s not often that you can claim to have woken up in a different country four days in a row but that’s exactly what happened when Adam and I took to the seas and embarked on our first full length cruise, courtesy of Royal Caribbean. A quick plane ride (please note the sarcasm as this plane […]

Pain. Passion. Poetry. – Time Never Tells

This is pretty long one, not only because I’m trying to make up for how sucky I’ve been at blogging; but trust me, I’ve been sucky at life too.

London Underground String Map

posted by on 21/04/2011

Damn this is dope and time consuming but the end result is worth it. The London Underground map in string form is instantly recognisable. I think I tweet about how whack the service is on a daily basis but we are quite lucky to even have it, a lot of big cities don’t even have this type of service. I much prefer the underground to buses, well not right now as it’s like a sauna down there! fsm vpggru has intricately constructed this string map of the TFL underground network, check out more images and a making-of time lapse on the reverse.

Apple iPhone 5 – September?

posted by on 21/04/2011

That’s not a photograph of the new iPhone, Apple are very hush with stuff like that. Though rumours are circulating about the white iPhone 4 release, it’s meant to be dropping this week/early next week at some point. I don’t see why anyone would buy it with the iPhone 5 coming out in just over 4 months but then again, people are stupid. Reuters confirmed that ‘Apple Inc suppliers will begin production of its next-generation iPhone in July this year, with the finished product likely to begin shipping in September’. Faster processor and higher resolution are almost guaranteed, peep the rest of the rumours here. Hop on after the cut to see a few videos of the new iOS with exposé in action.

Throwback Thursday

posted by on 21/04/2011

As the sun has started to shine here in London it would only right to feature a song that fits that summer vibe. ParaBeats featuring Carmen Reece ‘You Got Me’ may be hard to remember, this is because it was one of those one hit wonders (when I say one hit wonder I really mean one track wonder cause this song cannot really be considered a hit as its chatting positing doesn’t warrant the title ‘hit’). The track released in August of 2005 was one of those budget UK tracks that had a rubbish  music video but was catchy enough to get a few spins in the car. Its not the greatest song you will ever hear in your life but it came on via iTunes shuffle and I thought it would be a good selection, one of those omg I remember that track moments.

311. Greenwich Park Spring Time | LDN.365

posted by on 21/04/2011

Baby, you summer time fine. The weather has been on point these past few days, reaching highs of 25 degrees Celsius. It’s strange because we never usually get this kind of temperature till SUMMER, it’s still Spring. I hate to think how warm it will be these summer #globalwarming. I definitely recommend this park and Greenwich. It’s a chill out spot with fine architecture and scenery. Much better than Hyde Park, which is always packed full of annoying youths.

Terje Sorgjerd | The Mountain

posted by on 20/04/2011

I love photography but it takes someone with a lot more passion and dedication to create something like this; time-lapse videos look like they take a lot of time and preparation to create. Terje Sorgjerd is a Norwegian photographer and film maker, I came across his work on “our amazing planet” dont ask what I was doing on there! Watching the video lead me to his vimeo account where I watched more of his stunning short films. These are a must see, the video I have picked out here is called “The Mountain” which was filmed in El Teide, Spain. This is really inspiring work and shows how beautiful the planet really is (and we are killing it) anyways, video and link to his profile after the cut.

I don’t know why but I love the composition of all the buildings makes this image cool. A mixture of all types of shoddy architecture and building work, some obviously needs refreshing. Overly tired, I’ve been at this library for 4 hours and I haven’t done ANY WORK. This is a joke, right logging off and putting my mouth on mute. Been chatting waffle for the past few hours, sorry in advance for the lack of posts today.

Yin&Yang x All Saints Shoot Preview

posted by on 19/04/2011

We spent most part of yesterday afternoon on a Soho rooftop doing a review shoot for All Saints Spring/Summer 2011 collection. It’s the first time we shot womenswear as well, Annabel and the Truffle PR girls modeled for us. The photograph above was taken by yours truly and modeled by Yang if you haven’t guessed already. It’s definitely one of my better photographs, love how it turned out after the post processing of course. I have yet to start editing the remaining 280 photographs, that will be a weekend task. Enjoy the preview, click it for a full sized view as always.

Beyonce – Girls (Who Run The World) | Single

posted by on 19/04/2011

Bleh. I’m disappointed with this new Beyoncé single. I expected a LOT better than her but apparently this is just a demo version but can the real deal be that different? She just pon de floor 2 years late! all this girls talk is annoyingly repetitive throughout the song. This is a man’s world, who runs this world? Jay-Z #noilluminati haha. What do you guys think of the song? listen to it on the reverse, ya’ll can read the lyrics there too. I’m interested to see how different the mastered version will sound.

Onitsuka Tiger – Many Steps

posted by on 19/04/2011

A beautiful idea that has been beautifully executed. Onitsuka Tiger hired film maker Takayuki Akachi to travel the world and create a film based on the concept of ‘collecting steps from all over the world and playing a music with the steps’. Those are his words and not mine by the way. It’s hard to decipher from those words, you’ll have to watch the video to get it. It’s a good watch, very well shot and love the imagery from all around the world. So many different faces and races, I see my motherland India and my love London up in there. Check out the video on the reverse.
