Caribbean Cruising – Haiti & Jamaica | Royal Caribbean

It’s not often that you can claim to have woken up in a different country four days in a row but that’s exactly what happened when Adam and I took to the seas and embarked on our first full length cruise, courtesy of Royal Caribbean. A quick plane ride (please note the sarcasm as this plane […]

Marvel – Little Thor | Viral Video

posted by on 24/04/2011

Marvel have put out a viral to promote their upcoming film release ‘Thor‘. It’s a clever play on the funny Volkswagen ‘Force’ advert which you can catch here. If you were in London today, you would know that Marvel have been going in with the PR for this new film. Bringing real life thunderstorms to the city KMT, how random was that shift in weather?! This is a funny little viral, it could have been better but hey, it works. Check it out on the reverse. Who’s going to see Thor next week?

Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen. Hebrews 11:1. I took this last week at The Chapel of St Peter and St Paul, you have to go check it out. Even if you’re not Christian, it’s a beautiful sight – the interior is fantastic. Felt this was a relevant photograph as today is Easter, Happy Easter folks!

Shout Out In Notion Magazine

posted by on 24/04/2011

Well technically not a proper feature but anyway! thank you to the goodfolk at Notion Magazine and my old friend over at @Funkism. If you flick over to page 16, you’ll see a nice little Y&Y shout out featuring an old photograph of me. Eugh my style has grown since then! my hair isn’t even the same any more. If that’s not a good enough reason for you to go check out the magazine then the image above of Yasmin should be. They’ve got a dope feature on her and she’s topless in one of the photographs. Yep you read that right. Head over to the Notion Magazine Issue now. P.S. Yasmin, I’m sorry but I’m already taken.

Kanye West's Nike Air Yeezy II

posted by on 23/04/2011

I’ve been holding back from posting about the eagerly anticipated Nike Air Yeezy II. Mainly because the imagery that had surfaced before the one above has been extremley low quality and didn’t really give much away. First thing we notice, it’s a lot less in your face than the previous model. The materials seem the same; a leather upper, textured panelling, off white mid-soles and glow in the dark outer sole panels. It’s a similar colourway to the pair he wore at the Grammys and more recently at Coachella festival. Who actually managed to cop a pair of the original Air Yeezys? These ones are definitely more sleek and some quite mature but does that mean the hipsters won’t be queuing up days in advance? No. More information on them soon!

Mario and Sonic London Olympic Game On Its Way

posted by on 23/04/2011

Two of the gaming industry’s legendary mascots Mario & Sonic are set to feature London 2012‘s Olympic Games in the next multi-sport game in their famous series. This is the first title in the Olympic games series to feature the name of the Olympic location, BOOM! London deserves it. Sega have announced this game is being developed for Nintendo‘s Wii and 3DS consoles. This means I’ll be wiping by the dust off my Wii, the last time this happened was when MJ Experience dropped around Christmas time. The hype around that game only lasted me a week then I got bored and went back to my PS3. More information on the game after the cut.

313. Farringdon Rooftop View | LDN.365

I still don’t think I’m a semi-decent photographer. The term is thrown around way too much, anyone with SLR is apparently a decent photographer. This is not true! I just like taking photographs, so much more to learn, experiment with before I even dare call myself a photographer. I know I have improved over the last 313 days but still! I’ve got to keep it moving. I took this from the roof of WeAreSocial‘s London HQ in Farringdon. Love the clouds and sun rays and shadows.

Girl Meets Dress | Borrow… Party!.. Return

posted by on 22/04/2011

Girls. We’ve all been in the situation before. We have an event. We need a dress. We could wear one that we’ve already got but it’s already been worn a couple of times and people might start to think that we only own one dress. Or it no longer fits. Or we just don’t like it any more. If we’re getting a dress we’re bound to need a bag to go with it as well. Sooner or later the inevitable realisation of how the hell am I going to afford this hits and your screwed. This happens to me all the time. Those who know me know I’m not a dress and heels kind of girl. I’d happily wear Converses to go out if I could! So dresses in my wardrobe are scarce. Plus I can’t afford to keep buying dresses that will just end up collecting dust at the back of my wardrobe after only being worn a few times. The solution? Borrow one! Girl Meets Dress is here to save us!

312. Seven Dials, Covent Garden | LDN.365

posted by on 22/04/2011

How can you describe Seven Dials? Original, modern and stylish. I originally just assumed it was a mini shopping centre featuring shops such as Size?, Super Dry and Firetrap but it’s much more than that little shopping mall. It’s a small road junction in the Covent Garden area where all the seven street meet, all the shops, restaurants, theatres, spas, beauty places there make up Seven Dials.
