Caribbean Cruising – Haiti & Jamaica | Royal Caribbean

It’s not often that you can claim to have woken up in a different country four days in a row but that’s exactly what happened when Adam and I took to the seas and embarked on our first full length cruise, courtesy of Royal Caribbean. A quick plane ride (please note the sarcasm as this plane […]

Suffoca Will Prosper

posted by on 28/04/2011

You all know we don’t really post much streetwear on the site anymore unless it’s honestly something I admire. I’ve featured this brand once before on the site and complimented Boyce on his presentation and design aesthetic. He’s continued that class onto his newest collection ‘Suffoca Will Prosper‘. The collection feature a variety of tees, a vest, silhouette and a dope custom piece. As always the clothing features characters and illustrations by Boyce – brand consistency is key. A lot of up and coming UK brands need to realise consistency and quality go hand in hand, presentation is part of the package. He gets it spot on. Have a gander at the collection on the reverse.

318. Cyprus DLR Station Bridge | LDN.365

Full view recommended (click the image above). Spent most of the day here at UEL‘s library working on our dissertations, it was actually quite a productive session. As well as a reality check on how much work we have to do for university in the next few weeks. Sigh. I can’t wait for this to be over, I’ve probably said that about 5000 times on the site now. Freedom is right around the corner. I dig how the building & bridge are symmetrical. Simple photograph, let the buildings do the talking.

Introducing | Shain Caw

posted by on 27/04/2011

I was talking to my good friend earlier today when she referred me to an album, recorded by one of her friends, that she thought i’d be interested in. Incredible Decibels is an album which was freely released last week by an artist/producer called Shain Caw. I was really taken back by what I heard, never before did i think I would hear an album that sounded so American 90′s hip hop from a guy born and bread here in the UK. In this particular case not much is known about Shain so I have enlisted the help of my friend Tasha to give a little more info on the guy in question. Listen to the album and download on the flipside. Now turning you over to the capable hands of Tasha.

Beyoncé – ‘Move Your Body’ Video

posted by on 27/04/2011

Couple weeks ago DJB posted the flash workout video for the ‘Let’s Move! Flash Workout’ campaign: a venture by Beyonce and Michelle Obama in a bid to tackle child obesity. Somehow in her busy schedule Beyonce has managed to record a video for this, as you know she’s re-recorded her song ‘Get Me Bodied‘ and reworked it to sound more fitness appropriate! The video is set in a school hall where Beyonce and a mirage of school kids run through the entire flash workout routine, it’s a standard video nothing spectacular was really expected anyways but I like it and it looks like they had a lot of fun making it. Video after the cut.

X-Men: First Class International Trailer #2

posted by on 27/04/2011

A second trailer has surfaced for the highly anticipated film X-Men: First Class, it’s set to “be in cinemas near you” sometime in the summer and I simply cannot wait that long! In the new trailer we are gifted with alternate cut scenes making the film look even more exciting than it was before. Those of you who don’t know: this is not a continuation of the recklessly produced but awesome ‘X-Men 3: Last Stand‘, the new film is set in the past unraveling the story behind the Professor X and Magneto feud. Catch the trailer after the cut.

LRG 2011 Summer Lookbook

posted by on 27/04/2011

If you’ve shopped for street/skaterwear before then you would have heard of LRG. I’ve always known them for their bold graphic print tees but this new lookbook from them suggests otherwise. They’ve grown up a lot and now cater for all, casualwear would be the best term to describe this collection. The Summer 2011 collection features a mix of fitted and loose fit tees, polo shirts, tanks and button-downs accompanied by cargo shorts, board shorts and a few other bits and pieces. I really liked the photography, it reminded me of my own style of photography a bit. Colour-rich and somewhat simple. More on the reverse.

Sony S1 & S2 Android Tablets

posted by on 27/04/2011

Apple have pretty much mopped up the tablet computer market with their big iPhone iPad but this hasn’t stopped their competitors trying to come up with similar products to rival its clear cut dominance. With the arrival of the Blackberry Playbook imminent, Sony have unveiled their very own tablet computer concept that is sure to get heads turning, not only is the design a sleek challenger to the iPad but Sony have gone that step further by introducing a second design named the S2 which they hope will make their brand the main competitor to the iPad over the others. More details when you read on, plus a short video. What do you think of the new Song S1 and S2?

317. Inside LSE Library | LDN.365

posted by on 27/04/2011

Yesterday was a terrible day in terms of productivity. I headed to LSE‘s library around midday to get cracking. The library is phenomenal in comparison to my university’s but the reception service was horrendous. The membership card they had made for me denied me access 3 times in a row, by that time I was pissed off and then it took a further 45 minutes to find a desk. Sigh. Then…I was just massively unproductive, only have myself to blame.

Shoulda Woulda Coulda

posted by on 26/04/2011

After talking about talking to Yang about this woman and how underrated one of her albums was and is I decided to feature her and the title track from that album in this weeks Shoulda Woulda Coulda. One of many baby mothers to Lil Wayne, Nivea was once married to The-Dream, with many thinking that his song ‘Love vs Money’ was about Nivea and Wayne. Which makes the title of the featured song and album that more appropriate. Complicated was Nivea’s second studio and was released in 2005 preceded by leading single ‘Okay’ featuring Lil John. Go and check the album out, in my opinion its a very good album. Also as a bonus check out the track from The Dream that i was referring to earlier on the flipside.
