Caribbean Cruising – Haiti & Jamaica | Royal Caribbean

It’s not often that you can claim to have woken up in a different country four days in a row but that’s exactly what happened when Adam and I took to the seas and embarked on our first full length cruise, courtesy of Royal Caribbean. A quick plane ride (please note the sarcasm as this plane […]

Fossil Autumn/Winter 2011 Press Day

posted by on 22/04/2011

On Tuesday Yin and I made our way to the Charlotte Street Hotel where Fossil held their press day. Quite an impressive selection of bags, watches and their clothing line all from up coming season autumn/winter 2011. Heaps of photos after the cut.

They brought some cool pieces from their menswear collection comprising mainly of some nice polo’s coming in both long and short sleeve. The t-shirts come in more pastel like colours, which personally I think, would have been ore suitable for SS. However the fabric is good quality and seemingly well insulated, as they’re quite thick so they’ll do you good for autumn. The collection also includes check shirts and print tees and denim shirts, which are still in.  Fossil is a hidden gem for men’s clothing, print tees go for just £20- you can find their clothing either at the Covent Garden store or online.

On to the watches, really liked the watches this season too, a few carry over from the current season like the brown and gold model.  New additions include the 2 with the dark green or blue strap, definitely my fav of the bunch. I like how simple the design is with minor detailing, the strap is made from an interesting material- it’s almost felt like but softer. I think this gives the classic styled watch a trendy feel. Also a fan of the watch with the rose gold accents and the chocolate brown leather strap.

As always the leather accessories were on point, passport holders, bracelets and wallets. Fossil wallets are the lick, if you don’t know then you need to know, buy one here. They come in black and signature dark brown, the brown is nicer in my opinion. The quality is top notch and the prices are very reasonable, around £30.

Bags, one particular bag caught my eye from the collection however it seems I failed to snap photos of it… #fail. It was dark moss green with chocolate brown leather accents. Comes in man bag form or a backpack, I preferred the back pack- mainly because of the shape and size. The style and colourway reminded me a little bit of Mulberry bags.

Womenswear also quite nice for AW11, fossil revived their vintage story again this time with a more Aztec feel. The story features, interesting pieces, bags with very soft faux fur. Animal jewellery also made a return this time in the form of beetles-  Check out photos of the collection.
