Caribbean Cruising – Haiti & Jamaica | Royal Caribbean

It’s not often that you can claim to have woken up in a different country four days in a row but that’s exactly what happened when Adam and I took to the seas and embarked on our first full length cruise, courtesy of Royal Caribbean. A quick plane ride (please note the sarcasm as this plane […]

Facebook Status Update Stops Burglary

posted by on 21/03/2011

Social media saves the day once again. A brown brother of mine, Nitesh Bhakta spotted hooded burglars breaking into his living room and instead running in there like Batman to save the day. Probably end up getting myself seriously hurt, unlike me, Nitesh used his brain and ran up to the attic with his macbook. The intruders had already tied up his grandmother and sister whilst ransacking the household, wi-fi was still connected so he updated his Facebook status with: ‘HELLLLLP!’ and the rest is history. Watch the rest after the cut.

I know I took this shot a few weeks ago but just had to feature this one, it’s too good not to post. I love the view, Yang‘s silhouette blocking out sun is dope! who needs the super moon when we have an afro-eclipse? Anyway, I don’t want to gas his bloated ego up any further. My editing skills made this photograph look good, not his hair, capiche?

AKS | Modes of Transport – The Bus Stop EP

posted by on 20/03/2011

In a week where UK hip hop efforts have been laughable, AKS comes through with an EP worthy enough to be sold as an album. With all the f**kery surrounding Skepta’s video antics, it was down to his fellow Nigerian and Cordless Show winner AKS to save the day. I’ve been waiting a month for this EP to drop, mainly because of the ‘Monologue’ track which I featured, the typography in that video is insane and his clever wordplay is next. He’s a refreshingly different to anyone out there in the UK Hip Hop scene and right now this memorable EP is free for another 24 hours. Hop on after the cut.

My B&W Series

posted by on 20/03/2011

As you all may already know, I usually fill up monthly photography albums on Facebook and this month’s I have managed to complete already (200 photos). So instead of going on a hiatus, I’ve decided to switch it up and start a black and white photography series. I’ve always loved B&W photographs but haven’t really taken many as my style of photography relies on vibrant colours. It’s definitely going to be a learning curve experimenting with this new style, have a gander at the first few I shot yesterday on the reverse.

Adidas Originals LQC Sneaker

posted by on 20/03/2011

I remember the days when I used to post about sneakers on a regular basis, I also remember the days when I used to buy sneakers on a regular basis but in recent months both have slowed down dramatically. Student life has caught up with me so gone are they days where I would buy a new pair every month. If you’re a long standing regular to the site then you will know Adidas is probably my favourite brand, out of the sports brands, when it comes to buying sneakers. Making its debut at this years Sneaker Con Adidas have unveiled their newest design dubbed LQC (Light Quality Comfort). LQC a great example of what’s to come from several Adidas concepts dropping throughout 2011. I personally love it but I guess its only a picture so I’ll have to see it up close.

We reviewed this joint early last week, go have a read. It’s the best one I’ve been to from the chain of Japanese restaurants. One good reason to go there for = Japanese toilets. Toilets that have more function than your Blackberry, trust. Go check it.

Parents. Marmite?

posted by on 19/03/2011

It’s been quite a while since I last wrote a personal post. This one I dedicate to my parents, in fact to all the hard working and loving parents in the world. I’m known for my personal posts on the site *gulps* time for another one. It has taken my 22 years to understand my parents, during my teen years I was quite the rebel. They still loved and supported me through that. Why? Read on.

Adidas Is All In 'All Show' & 'Justice' Videos

posted by on 19/03/2011

Madness. Adidas is going ALL IN with this campaign like any dude on Kim Kardashian. This first promotional video ‘All Show‘ features a clip from the company’s visual light show in Marseilles, France using some ground breaking 3D project technology. I think the first time I saw something like this was for Victoria’s Secret 2009 show and more recently Ralph Lauren. The crowd of over 1,000 were there to watch this jaw-dropping spectacle of world’s top athletes showcasing their skills in 4D form. Once again Justice´s new single plays in the background, after the cut for a video featuring the French duo as well as the other clip!

Barbican! I haven’t been back to this year since a trip to the Barbican Centre in Year 2. I don’t even quite remember what the event was about to be honest, something to do with multicultural London? The Barbican plays home to one of Europe’s largest performing arts centres, it mainly hosts classical and contemporary music concerts. None of the mainstream ish here, they’ve also got a plethora of restaurants and chill out spots. Go check it out.
