Caribbean Cruising – Haiti & Jamaica | Royal Caribbean

It’s not often that you can claim to have woken up in a different country four days in a row but that’s exactly what happened when Adam and I took to the seas and embarked on our first full length cruise, courtesy of Royal Caribbean. A quick plane ride (please note the sarcasm as this plane […]

252. The O2 from Canning Town Station | LDN.365

My photo library is very limited at the moment, in fact I have to go take more for tomorrow’s 365 and so on. Editing on this Window’s pc will be a hassle. This isn’t one of my greatest shots and as always a tripod would have greatly improved the blurryness of this photograph by miles. I need to invest in one as soon as possible.

Fight or F**king Flight

posted by on 21/02/2011

I’ve been in a dark place lately. A really dark place, hence my lack of blogging and even poetry writing; now you know the place I was in is dark if I don’t even write a poem about it. But I’m back now (well, at least, half way back) and I’m ready to move forward with my life.

Shoulda Woulda Coulda

posted by on 21/02/2011

I feel like I haven’t written one of these in a while so instead of posting on a Tuesday, which is normally the designated day, i’ve decided to post this a day early. Don’t you just hate it when an artist and their label make plans to release a song that you really wanted to see get a release and they even shoot a video for the track but for some reason plans change and the video never sees the light of day. Well that is what happen with this track, It would have been a perfect song during last summer and the pictures from the set of the video looked amazing. Will we ever see the video for this song? who knows but i certainly hope so. Currently a new album is scheduled for this year so i’m guessing not. To know who and what song i’m talking about you’ll have to read on.

Government Gone Crazy?

posted by on 21/02/2011

This week saw the news that here in England the government are planning to announce a new initiative whereby after a certain period of time those on the sex offenders register can apply to be taken off the list. This has caused a huge reaction across the country and i think it’s only right that i add me 2 bobs worth. My thoughts on the matter are revealed on the flipside.

251. Fish Works – Swallow Street | LDN.365

posted by on 20/02/2011

Sorry for the lack of posts, I’ll explain why later. Today’s late 365 photograph features a famous seafood restuarant, Fishworks. My friend says you can spot Amy Winehouse at the Marylebone Branch every other day, apparently she likes lobster whilst overdosing on substances. I went here for Valentine’s on a FRIDAY, you know belated…better late than never. Then again, every day must be like Valentine’s when you’re with me. More detailed post on the restaurant coming soon!

New Video | Kanye West – All Of The Lights

posted by on 19/02/2011

This song was for a long time my favourite track from the My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy so when i knew he was shooting a video for it I was instantly happy. Its been along time coming though, months even. Finally the video has surfaced but unfortunately I just don’t like it that much. Somehow I think Hype Williams has lost his touch, back in the day he was the most sought after music video director but as of late his videos just have been up to scratch and this is another example. Check it out for yourself and let me know what you think. Warning if you have epilepsy then I suggest you do not watch this video, to say All of the lights is an understatement.

Arsenal Wants Supporters To Get Creative

posted by on 19/02/2011

First off, I’m still on a high from Wednesday’s game. We beat Barcelona at home, I definitely wasn’t expecting a win against the world’s best club at the moment. Now we have to do the same at Nou Camp, I don’t really see that happening but who knows!? Arsenal have teamed up with supporters’ group, REDAction to give fans a unique opportunity to contribute to the match day experience at Emirates. They want you to design a banner and if you win, it’ll be on display on the front of the Upper Tier of the stadium bowl during match days. I think this is a dope chance for a fan to get their work out there, 40,000 people + people all around the world will see it on a bi-weekly basis! More information on the reverse.

Nandos in America!

posted by on 19/02/2011

There is a Nandos in America. Whaaaat? I was walking down the chilly streets of Silver Spring and pow, right at the corner of my eye, I spotted a familiar chicken (or whatever bird animal it is).  I gave a squeal of excitement and told my friend that we had to go there in the very near future.

BBC's Human Planet

posted by on 19/02/2011

You know how I always say I don’t watch any UK TV shows, well that has changed. I have started to watch Human Planet on a weekly basis, accidentally came across the show last week when I was having a TV dinner and have been watching religiously since on iPlayer. If you have time to watch whackness like Eastenders then you definitely have time to watch this and educate yourselves on our planet. There is just so much natural beauty out there! Last night’s episode the team visited the grasslands; Dorobo people of Kenya, Mongolion horsemen and Maasai children who can talk to birds. The scenes with the Dorobo people are mindblowing; them drinking blood from a Bull’s head then going into battle with one another. I’ve got to give a huge round of applause to the cameramen, they are brave for risking their lives to capture such scenes. I can’t embed the iPlayer videos so click here and go watch them all. NOW.

250. Eerie DLR Station | LDN.365

posted by on 19/02/2011

I know it’s another Tube Station shot but I really liked the eerie-ness and the lighting in this photograph. Plus I’m back in this area tonight, try and guess where it is? It’s somewhere in East London, not the pretentious ‘cool’ Shoreditch part of East London. Anyway…back to enjoying my night. More tomorrow folks.
