So this is my first SWC post and I was very excited, as this is a post Dedicated to songs that were not released as official singles from an artist’s Album. The hardest part of this though has to be choosing the artist, but after a think I had to make Beyonce my first choice.
Ever since entering the Music world at just 15 I have been obsessed with Beyonce, I wouldn’t go as far as stalking her like Eminem apparently did to Mariah, but obsessed I am. Can you really blame me though? The woman was born to be a Star and she is blessed to be so talented.
I can definitely say Beyonce is my Favourite female artist, and I could go as far as saying she is my favourite Entertainer in the business full stop.
The first song I’m going to pick is ‘Yes’ which is off the debut album ‘Dangerously In Love’. This track tells a story about B and a man she was dating, but things soon turned out sour and they went there separate ways. The story is just one of the things I like about the track, the other being the vocals on here. The song is a slow and a smooth R&b track. It might not have set the charts alight, but would go down well with her fans and true r&b fans alike.
‘Speechless’ was on the Debut album as well and this could easily have made the cut to be an Official single. Again, as I said above, this is one for the r&b lovers. Brilliant song that could have been accompanied by a great video too if Released.
‘Hello’ along with ‘Halo’ and ‘Smash Into You’ is one of my favourite tracks from Beyonce’s 3rd installment ‘I Am … Sasha Fierce’. Everytime I play this, I have to hit the Repeat button. I think this would have done very well as an official single and up to now I think it’s a shame it was never released.
‘Be With You’ is yet another single that was on ‘Dangerously In Love’. This Track as well as the other two I picked from the album could have done well in the Chart as the CD was released in 2003 and this type of r&b was very alive.
