Strange set of traffic lights, ey? yeh that’s exactly what I thought too, only after about 10 seconds I realised that it was a sculpture. Doh. The Traffic Light tree was constructed by French sculptor Pierre Vivant following a competition run by the Public Arts Commission Agency. It’s situated in Heron Quay which is just by Canary Wharf. According to them the sculpture symbolises the never ending rhythm of Canary Wharf’s financial district. The place never stops moving, well not till 5pm on a Friday.
