Caribbean Cruising – Haiti & Jamaica | Royal Caribbean

It’s not often that you can claim to have woken up in a different country four days in a row but that’s exactly what happened when Adam and I took to the seas and embarked on our first full length cruise, courtesy of Royal Caribbean. A quick plane ride (please note the sarcasm as this plane […]

Comme des Garcons S/S11 "Black" Collection

posted by on 27/12/2010

Comme des Garcons provide insight into what their ‘Black‘ label have in-store for next summer. The collection looks pretty standard although I like the plain and simple cuts with minor detail. As you can see the collection lacks colour which is somewhat different considering this is for a summer collection. Check out photos of the preview here

POWER | A Fashion Short

posted by on 27/12/2010

*Sighs* I wanted to make a styling lookbook video for A/W 2010 but it never happened due to time restrictions. Ah well. This short film inspired by Kanye’s hit single ‘Power‘ tries to portray the importance of style in a man’s day to day life. The concept revolves around the notion that a man of multiple facets must depict himself in a variety of looks to carry out his responsibilities. The brains, creative vision and styling behind this dope video is an up and coming New York stylist and designer Nicole Porée-Zayas. The fact that she and her team shot this in a day shows I shouldn’t be complaining about lack of time! More after the jump.

Lagoi & Lace | Love Land Invaders

posted by on 27/12/2010

This is crazy sexy cool. Artistic duo Ralph Lagoi and Kate Lace combined their brains to create Lagoi & Lace. They met while studying art and photography at University in Cologne, they decided to fuse their various creative strengths to honour the power of beauty and fashion. I need to follow in their footsteps and utilise my fellow creative individuals at Art school, there is so much talent. The duo have come up with a spread ‘Love Land Invaders‘ which embodies pop culture, taking inspiration from a lot of diverse sources and putting together to create these crazy vibrant scenes. More after the cut.

196. Stratford Shopping Mall | LDN.365

posted by on 27/12/2010

Christmas has come and gone but I’ve still got a few more ‘Christmassy’ 365s on the way. This I took a few days back in Stratford Mall and let’s just say it’s not one of my favourite places in London. It’s a dying Mall, most of the big retailers have shut up shop and moved on elsewhere so expect to see a plethora of £ stores inside here. With Westfield opening next door in September 2011, I don’t see how much longer this Mall will last. Time for a renovation? Maybe knock it down into a community sports centre. More tomorrow folks.

Chipmunk – 'Champion' (feat. Chris Brown) Music Video

posted by on 26/12/2010

Grime turn pop rapper Chipmunk teams up with American recording artist Chris Brown on his new single Champion” Champion happens to be Munk’s second single off his forthcoming album “Transition” and via twitter he announced the video’s release.  The fact both of them are on track together sounds a bit odd but I guess he thought this would be dope to work with a US artist. In my opinion it was quite a fail. The video was shot in Miami and directed by Colin Tilley same director who worked on Deuces. But for those interested in the failed attempt of a video, view it after the cut.

328 Stories – December

posted by on 26/12/2010

Woah what a great concept for this video. 328 Stories is a new series of video stories by a company that used to be a production company. Confusing? Well they refuse to label themselves as it limits them. So now they’re called 328 Stories because they love stories and aim to produce 328 stories in 365 days. This is the very first one that dropped a few days ago, visually it’s mindblowing. I don’t want to ruin the story for you so hop on after the jump to figure it out for yourselves. Think of it as a visual Christmas card.

Cafe Reload Christmas Special Recap

posted by on 26/12/2010

So I ventured through the snow to Cafe Reloads Christmas Special last week. Mainly because I was real impressed how talented some of the folk were at the last one I went to, you can read the recap for that one here. This time, I’m going to let my significant other do the talking. She’ll take over on the flipside. However I’m not telling you which one she is, try and guess. Videos on the reverse.

195. Canary Wharf Shopping Centre | LDN.365

posted by on 26/12/2010

I guess I should have posted this yesterday. Blah. Canary Wharf Shopping Centre is most certainly the one for last minute shopping, it’s got most of the nice high street stores as well as some high-end stuff but guess what the best thing about this place? It’s no where near as busy as the West End. So when you’re in a rush shopping for last minute Christmas presents this is the place to go.
