CB – The Agenda | Photo Blog

posted by on 26/11/2010

We’ve featured a few dope photographers on the site this past week, it’s time for another one. Introducing London-based photographer and Y&Y homie Caz Brown. He has been showcasing his work on his personal Facebook for a while now but it’s not until a few weeks ago he started his own photo blog, CBAgenda. Ya’ll will notice his photography mainly focuses on portraits, while celebrity, music and fashion photography have a certain studio ‘bright lights’ look to them; he has gone for a more intimate look with his photographs. You can see the raw and real side in his images, peep more on the flipside.

Christmas Wants | Aston Martin DB5

posted by on 26/11/2010

Duh not the real deal, a replica of course. Although honestly speaking I would put down a brand spanking new Aston Martin DB9 but I don’t have a billionaire girlfriend so it’s pretty unrealistic wish as Santa Claus doesn’t exist (Sorry kids!). Snapping back to reality, James Bond takes me back to my primary school years, in fact it was my mum that introduced me to the movies at that age. She would let me watch them with her but cover my eyes every time there was a sex scene (which was probably every 5 minutes). What I loved most about the spy’s life was the plethora of gadgets on offer to him, my favourite being the Aston Martin DB5. More on the flipside.

Winter Wonderland @ Hyde Park

posted by on 25/11/2010

As promised a post on Hyde Park‘s Winter Wonderland. In fact since the LDN.365 post, I ended up going to the Wonderland again with my university friends. I’ll be honest, I’m not much of a funfair/theme park ride person as I would rather not die from an unfortunate accident caused by a loose bolt in a rollercoaster ride #nopussy. I know there’s a million to one chance of that happening but I don’t want to take it! This year has been really busy and hectic so I haven’t really had many chances to spend much time with my university friends so Winter Wonderland was a lot fun. It was pretty fucking cold but you should expect that considering we live in England and it’s called WINTER Wonderland. Take a hint, more on the flipside.

posted by on 25/11/2010

Those of you who are missing out on Drake‘s January tour in the UK like me will be happy to know that his sold out concert tonight at Radio City Hall in New York will be streamed live via Ustream thanks to the good people at YourAudioFix. I know it’s real late for us UK fans but I’m sure some of you Drake stans out there like me would love to see Drizzy perform live. After the cut, the concert is set to start at 9pm ET. Ergh so annoyed I’ll be missing the concert in January but I guess my friend’s wedding comes first. After all what has Drake done for me? other than give me one liners to impress females with. Stream after the cut.

Jonathan Lucas' Picture Perfect Parkour

posted by on 25/11/2010

Wow. *picks jaw up from floor* these are one of the best photographs I have seen in a while. London-based photographer Jonathan Lucas has managed to capture Parkour perfectly. The sport itself is a philosophy that finds the perfect balance of physical practice of travelling from one element to another in urban and rural environments. These people are crazy but fair play to them, they have the balls to do these death defying acrobatic jumps from building to building like a Marvel super hero.. Jonathan has done exceptionally well capturing the mid-air movements perfectly and it’s not just the movement he’s captured well, perfect surroundings, lighting and shadows. Everything comes together really well. More on the flipside.

Throwback Thursday | Ashanti Edition

posted by on 25/11/2010

This weeks Throwback Thursday is dedicated to the possibly forgotten R&B songstress Ashanti. Once the main female presence in the male dominated Murder Inc clan she has dropped off the radar in recent years. She jumped onto the scene back in 2002 with hr self titled debut album and she went on to release an album a year up until 2004. After the release of her third studio album in 2004 her shine began to decline and we didn’t get to here new music until 4 years later in 2008. Leaving such an amount of time between albums can be beneficial to some people (see Justin Timberlake) however in Ashanti’s case the delay between albums only made her less relevant and prominent in eyes of the consumer. I have selected one song from each of her 4 albums for your listening pleasure, take a listened and get familiar with Ashanti again. 2011 will see the release of a new album lets hope!

Trussardi 1911 2010 Fall/Winter Sneakers

posted by on 25/11/2010

In recent months my sneaker collection has seen a dramatic drop in growth due to the fact that I am unable to afford the type of sneakers that I so desire. Christian Louboutin, YSL, Louis Vuittion, Raf Simons and Gucci have all designed sneakers that have caught my attention but are as yet out of my price range. Trussardi 1911 have introduced a range of sneakers for their 2010 Fall/Winter collection costing between $553-$605+ similar to the price range of the previously mentioned brands. However on this occasion I have not been drawn to any of the styles and so wonder why such designs are commanding such a high price. The main focus of this line-up of sneakers is plaid and tassels, which were complemented with leather and suede check the line up when you read on.

164. Green Park | LDN.365

posted by on 25/11/2010

I’ve been meaning to go to a Park for the past 2 months since Autumn started to snap a photograph with the dead leaves, capture the redness. I finally got the chance, well kind of – I took this as I was walking past the entrance gates haha. I always stop out of nowhere when I get a good photo opportunity, my friends will continue walking ahead till they realise I’ve been left behind. Full view recommended as a lot of the image gets cut off in the preview.
