Caribbean Cruising – Haiti & Jamaica | Royal Caribbean

It’s not often that you can claim to have woken up in a different country four days in a row but that’s exactly what happened when Adam and I took to the seas and embarked on our first full length cruise, courtesy of Royal Caribbean. A quick plane ride (please note the sarcasm as this plane […]

The Angel of Peace. Why did I think this was Boudica!? haha. The photograph reminds me of Dark Knight with the dark silhouettes in the foreground and a very saturated background. Oh it’s taken right by Hyde Park Corner for those who don’t instantly recognise it.

Couple weeks ago Tinche Stryder launched his AW10 collection for his clothing label ‘Star in the Hood‘. Customellow Hitchhiker Collection Lookbook

posted by on 29/11/2010

I’ve never heard of Customellow before but yesterday I stumbled across this lookbook and I just had to post it. They are fashion brand from Korea but the clothes featured in this Hitchhiker collection lookbook are very much inspired by the American culture. I would honestly wear all the clothes featured in this lookbook they remind me of a cross between the clothes from the Morris collection I posted a few months back (see here) and Topman. Take a look at the collection on the flipside.

Well, they are inviting all women aged between 18-23 years old and who are 5”8 (which counts my short ass out!) to take part. I don’t know why but I really dislike writing this post these days. I’m guessing it’s either because 1. I hate sharing my music, 2. The post takes hours to write and 3. I’m lazy. I’ll go with the latter. For me, it’s been Kanye week with the release of his latest album but because I bought the album, I shall not be sharing anymore songs from it. So to kick start things with the new Queen of Hip-Hop, Nicki Minaj. Continues after the jump folks.

I’m 100% sure I’ve featured a shot of the very same building earlier on in this project but I just had to feature this photograph taken a few days back as I was strolling past the market on the way to dinner. The Christmas decorations and night lights add so much to this, enjoy. Full view as always. Massive shout out to Tinography for the heads up on this shot *ahem*

George Condo Explains The Covers for Kanye West’s Album

posted by on 28/11/2010

I know people are probably thinking “Enough with all the Ye news. We’ve heard it all already, the album is good.” But actually this isn’t about Ye. It’s about the man behind the work of Kanye’s controversial covers for his fifth studio album My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy. New York Magazine catches up with artist George Condo to discuss the meaning of each cover. In the article Condo states “He was new to me.” “I was very old school rap, you know what I mean?” While preparing for a retrospective at the New Museum, Condo, who created five pieces of work for My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy discusses Macbeth, ballerinas, and how he and West might have a few surprises up their sleeves. More after the cut.

Jay-Z's Decoded Book

posted by on 28/11/2010

I’ve been a fan of Jigga ever since I started liking rap in the 90s but it’s not until recent years that I learnt of all his business ventures and how much of an influencer he is in modern day pop culture. I don’t even need to go into detail about his achievements, ya’ll just need to go buy his book, Decoded. I picked it up a few days ago and read my thoughts on it so far on the flipside.
