Caribbean Cruising – Haiti & Jamaica | Royal Caribbean

It’s not often that you can claim to have woken up in a different country four days in a row but that’s exactly what happened when Adam and I took to the seas and embarked on our first full length cruise, courtesy of Royal Caribbean. A quick plane ride (please note the sarcasm as this plane […]

Sneaker Con Recap

posted by on 22/10/2010

Last Saturday sneakerheads filled the streets of  SoHo for the annual event  Sneaker Con 2010. The event supplied these sneaker obsessed  sneakerfeins with over 40 vendors and the ability to buy, sell, and trade kicks and clothing as well.  The good folks coordinating Sneaker Con gave Y&Y the opportunity check out the event. Sneaker Con was ultra packed with the line wrapping around the block all for one common love interest; Sneakers. More after the cut.

posted by on 22/10/2010

Thought you was good at the Rubix Cube? well check this out. It’s basically a Rubix Cube with gears, making it much more difficult to assemble. To complete the task you have to assemble a full formed cube by matching the gears and colours on the IQ Cube. Are you up to the challenge?

My-Wardrobe's 3 Of The Best

posted by on 21/10/2010

Dope! A couple of weeks ago, I was asked by Steve at My-Wardrobe to write a few short paragraphs for a menswear editorial that they were producing. To be honest at the time I didn’t really know what it was going to be used for, I kind of half expected it to be just on their Facebook fan page. Oh how wrong was I? the finished editorial went live today and I’m quite chuffed to be one of the selected bloggers who got a feature. Check it out by clicking here or peep it after the cut.

New Apple Macbook Air Notebook

posted by on 21/10/2010

Is it me or do you feel like Apple are trying to make some Gadgets that are virtually nonexistent in weight and thickness. I say this after the release of details of their plan to launch a new fleet of Macbook Air Notebooks.  Available in 11-inch and 13-inch models and weighing as little as 2.3 pounds, the new MacBook Air is Apple’s lightest and most portable notebook ever. There is no denying that Apple make the sexiest gadgets and this is just another example, although I do feel that the Mackbook Air is too thin (and im saying that about the current model so I don’t know what im gone do with this new one lol) I still think it is another beautiful piece of tech. More information and pics after the cut.

PHENOMENON 2011 Spring/Summer Collection

posted by on 21/10/2010

Ok so you when something is just too much, well what you’re about to see is definitely way too much. Japanese fashion label PHENOMENON have presented us with their take on what we should be wearing in the 2011 Spring/Summer season and let’s just say I think they’re a bit off the mark. The collection headed by Takeshi Osumi is packed full of colour and loud textiles and patterns which can be a good thing but in this case frankly just hasn’t worked. A few pieces in the collection can be considered wearable but the styling and the over the topness of the catwalk presentation doesn’t allow us to fully appreciate them due to them being overshadowed. Peep the collection when you read on. (A Must See)

Ato 2011 Spring/Summer Collection

posted by on 21/10/2010

I first stumbled across designer Ato Matsumoto when looking on the website oki-ni. There was one pair of sneakers that they had on the site that I desperately wanted to own but at the time couldn’t afford, to my surprise a few days afterwards I saw Yang wearing them in uni and I must admit I was pretty envious lol. Anyway moving onto the meat of this post, Mr Matsumoto has presented his collection for the 2011 Spring/Summer season. Simply branded under the name Ato, the collection provides a mix of collegiate styles with formal looks. Check the collection after the cut.

Willow Smith vs. Sesame Street – Whip My Hair Remix Video

posted by on 21/10/2010

Now this is hilarious. My friend played this to me in the university library (yes, I should have been studying!) and boy we all cracked up. The actual song has grown on me over the past few weeks, the beat is infectious and it’s just fun. Pure and simple. This version of the video had me in tears, especially when the muppet kept switching between weaves and wigs. The best one is the one I screenshot’d above, doesn’t it remind you of Yang? video after the cut.

129. BT Tower Cyclist | LDN.365

posted by on 21/10/2010

I took this from the same spot as the LDN.365 photograph a few days ago but facing the opposite direction. I noticed the cyclist waiting at the traffic lights ahead of the car drivers so I decided to wait till the light turned green to snap away. I think it turned out pretty good. I’ve got so much to do *drinks coffee* More tomorrow!

This weeks Throwback tunes are dedicated to self proclaimed Hip-Hop Queen Mary J Blige. With eight multi-platinum albums and nine Grammy awards, Blige is one of the most influential figures in the music industry. There have been rumors that she is planning to release a new album in early 2011 so keep an eye out. I’ve chosen four of my personal favorites from her collection of music, enjoy them after the cut.
