Caribbean Cruising – Haiti & Jamaica | Royal Caribbean

It’s not often that you can claim to have woken up in a different country four days in a row but that’s exactly what happened when Adam and I took to the seas and embarked on our first full length cruise, courtesy of Royal Caribbean. A quick plane ride (please note the sarcasm as this plane […]

133. 33 Portland Place | LDN.365

posted by on 25/10/2010

The home of Lord Edward Davenport who I actually met the day I went to the house. The house itself is a remarkable building, a rare and exquisite example of dope 18th Century Victorian architecture. However it’s now most famous for the parties Edward Davenport holds there with his celebrity friends including Kate Moss, Mischa Barton, Penelope Cruz, you name it – they have all been there. Just Google ’33 Portland Place Party’ and you’ll see what I mean.

The Chalk House Jewellery

posted by on 25/10/2010

I personally love jewellery like this.  It gives a certain childlike vibe to the whole concept of jewellery without getting tacky.  It also allows women of all ages to be able to vibe with this type of jewellery since you could get a pair of the sparrow earrings for a seven year old, but somebody my age would also love them. More on the flipside.

Scream 4 Teaser Trailer

posted by on 25/10/2010

Eeesh. Scream was one of the first horror films I watched back in the day and I’m not going to lie, it scared me. I used to be a big pansy when it comes horror films, still blame my uncle for that as he made me watch the original Nightmare On Elm Street when I was 5! I was scarred for life. Nowadays most horror films just make me laugh but now and then I will jump out of seat, Scream always had that ‘jumpiness’ to it. The mask has become somewhat iconic, a modern cult classic – every Halloween, you are guaranteed to see at least half a dozen of them. They have reunited many of the original cast for the fourth film in the series, post continues on the flipside.

I’m a week or so late with this post and you all know why I am! I haven’t been able to put together a big post as I weren’t downloading. My ‘Recently Added‘ playlist on iTunes is now messed up thanks to all the old music that I had to re-add to my library because of the new hard-drive. Anyway I’ve got a fair few big tunes after the cut, starting off with the remix of Riri’s 2nd single off her upcoming album ‘LOUD!’.

Pain. Passion. Poetry. – To Whom It May Concern

posted by on 24/10/2010

My first few poetry posts were more about you all getting to know me. You familiarized yourselves with my writing and the wide range of things I write about.  This week, though, I wanted to get a bit more personal generically.

Kanye West "Runaway" Short Film Review

posted by on 24/10/2010

The internet has been buzing, the televisions have been roaring and the street have hollering over the anticipation of Kanye Wests film “Runaway“. If you weren’t hiding under rock or closing your ears due to the noise about Ye’s film you would obviously know the film premiered Saturday October at 8PM (US time) on MTV, MTV2 and BET.  Being a huge Ye fan I knew the film would be amazing. Fuck what LA Times said (excuse my french) but they’re no NY Times *kanyeshrug*. More after cut.

Filippa K AW10 Collection

posted by on 24/10/2010

Filippa K is a Swedish brand, one that I’m quite fond of but cant afford! They’ve launched their AW10 collection and after the cut you’ll see some photos and a video as promo for this seasons campaign. The new collection is supposed to embody the brands ethos which is classic & simple. I get just that from the menswear batch where you’ll find the perfect sophisticated casual/smart looks whether you want chunky knits or tweed/velvet blazers. Check out the their website.

N.E.R.D- Help Me (Video)

posted by on 24/10/2010

Here is the latest video from N.E.R.D, the song is called ‘Help Me‘ and its from their soon to drop album titled ‘Nothing‘. In the video we see what can be described as political themes as well as clips from the band performing the new single. I enjoyed watching the video- great political artistry although I would have preferred if they had done something a little more abstract like Erykah Badu did with her ‘Window Seat‘ video as apposed to recycled clips. Anywho, the video was directed and shot by Doug Spangenberg and expect to see ‘Nothing‘ on the shelves in a couple of weeks from now. Watch the clip after the cut.

Who Loves Lego?

posted by on 24/10/2010

Yin does and yes just like you, I had to double take too. The house is actually all made from Lego, you can just imagine how many hours/days/weeks this took to construct. I spent many hours as a child making buildings and bridges but none like the one Mike Doyle has constructed. He’sc made a two storey house that has crumbled due to the weight of the snow, you’ll have to peep the photograph after the cut to notice all the intricate details. I’ve been wanting to buy a massive pack of Lego of Ebay for a while now but I’m pretty sure I won’t find to play with them anytime soon if I did. More information and photos on the flipside.

Adidas Originals “Fire” By Jeremy Scott

posted by on 24/10/2010

Behold ‘Fire’ for Adidas Originals clearly one of Jeremy Scotts‘ designs. These look like something out of The Rocky Horror Show I really can’t bare them. I appreciate Scott’s originality but to be honest his approach to sneakers is too unorthodox and quite frankly impractical. Perhaps they’ll be eye catching at fashion week but you certainly wouldn’t wear these shoes on a regular day. That’s just my opinion however, these will be available for purchase in stores next week.
