Caribbean Cruising – Haiti & Jamaica | Royal Caribbean

It’s not often that you can claim to have woken up in a different country four days in a row but that’s exactly what happened when Adam and I took to the seas and embarked on our first full length cruise, courtesy of Royal Caribbean. A quick plane ride (please note the sarcasm as this plane […]

Louis Vuitton 2010 Fall/Winter Monogram Empreinte Collection

posted by on 28/10/2010

Here’s one for the ladies. Louis Vuitton has launched their new accessories collection dubbed Monogram Empreinte. This 2010 Fall/Winter Collection places its focus on the handbag. The handbag is a very essential accessory for women for two reasons, 1. it holds all the junk women like to carry around with then and 2. It is a good way to complete an outfit. Wearing the perfect outfit with a shit handbag just devalues the effort putting the outfit together in the first place. Tote bags, Clutches, Handbags and Wallets all feature in this collection in a range of colours. I must add as a male I definitely would purchase a few of these for my woman because some of them are really nice. Check the collection out for yourself after the jump.

Raf Simons 2011 Spring/Summer Sneaker Collection

posted by on 28/10/2010

My sneaker collection has somewhat stopped growing as of late and this is due to the fact that I no longer find myself attracted to the normal high street brands such as Nike and Adidas (when I say no longer attracted to I really mean no longer want to purchase due to everyone having the same sneaker as me). My affection for sneakers has moved onto more luxury brands such as Gucci, YSL, Christian Louboutin and Raf Simons. It seems I have Champagne taste but a Coca Cola budget however this does not stop me from dreaming. Take a look at the 2011 Spring/Summer Raf Simons sneaker collection.

Batman Dark Knight Sequel Title Revealed

posted by on 28/10/2010

Christopher Nolan sat down with the LA Times to discuss the next Batman film and he’s finally revealed the title, *wait for it* ‘The Dark Knight Rises‘. How original and umm, amazing. I can’t pre-judge a movie from it’s title however, if he does direct some a film as mind-blowing as Dark Knight then we’re all in for a treat. However he’s not yet ready to reveal the villain of the film, he did rule out one of the contenders: “It won’t be the Riddler,”. Boo so I guess Tom Brady will be playing the role of another villain? Dark Knight is in my fav top 5 movies of all time, it’s going to take something real exceptional to top that. Click here to read more on what he had to say on the upcoming film.

Adspiration | Canon Pixma 'Bring Colour To Life'

posted by on 28/10/2010

You’d be amazed at how much work is involved in making just a 20 second advert. Fortunately for those of you who have ever wondered I have a clip that shows just how much work goes on behind the scenes. This advert dubbed ‘Bring Colour To Life’ for the Canon Pixma printer is beautifully shot. The vivid colours against the black background are simply stunning. Although the advert appears to be very simple the construction of such a piece is definitely not. Watch the simply gorgeous ad on the flipside and then watch how it was made. This post is for no other reason other than to watch, learn and maybe be inspired (for those who are into advertising this is a must watch).

Will-I-Am & Nicki Minaj "Check It Out" (Video)

posted by on 27/10/2010

Just saw this and had to post it because it’s so awful! If you are going to sample an 80′s classic do it properly and in this case they shouldn’t have done it. I like Will-I-Am‘s innovation in his music and Nicki Minaj’s body but in my opinion this song sounds like its supposed to be the theme tune for a kids program. The random voice overs from Will-I-am sounds stupid too “Deese is mega digga, auto nigmatic“…. not cool.  I suppose the video scores a few points because its quite quirky, quite wacky and its colourful. Watch the video after the cut..

Lupe Fiasco – 'The Show Goes On' Single

posted by on 27/10/2010

This is my song of the week. I downloaded it around 2am last night and since then it has already been played 20 times on iTunes. Yes I rinse songs like that. This song samples the guitar riffs in Modest Mouse’s ‘Float On’,  it’s just so infectiously catchy with the horns and the chorus has a sing-along feel to it. An all around happy ‘feel good’ song that puts a smile on my face despite the dull and gloomy weather outside. The show goes on, off to University I go.

Write A Bike

posted by on 27/10/2010

Definitely an interesting and unique concept from Parisian-based Swiss artist, Juri Zaech. He incorporates typography into the framework of a bicycle, it’s obviously amazing illustrator/photoshop work. He’s yet to produce an actual bicycle with the typography built into it but he said he’s working on a prototype, should be dope! peep the rest on the flipside.
