Caribbean Cruising – Haiti & Jamaica | Royal Caribbean

It’s not often that you can claim to have woken up in a different country four days in a row but that’s exactly what happened when Adam and I took to the seas and embarked on our first full length cruise, courtesy of Royal Caribbean. A quick plane ride (please note the sarcasm as this plane […]

Jay-Z x Warren Buffet Cover Forbes Magazine

posted by on 25/09/2010

I don’t think I’ve expressed my love and admiration for this man; Jay-Z!  But I guess this can be the first post in which I do so. Because we’re speaking about a businessman I think I should address him by his government name Mr. Shawn Corey Carter aka Jay-Z nails the cover of Forbes Magazine with Warren Buffet. For those who are unfamiliar with Forbes Magazine;  the magazine is a biweekly business publication geared towards top decision makers. More after cut.

Kanye West’s G.O.O.D Music Fridays – Week 5

posted by on 25/09/2010

I really shouldn’t be writing posts as I have to be awake in 4 hours to see off my sister as well as waking up another friend (I’m her human alarm clock). Ye outdoes himself with the line-up he has on this track but I don’t know why Swizz Beatz is on it. He doesn’t add a thing to the song as usual however the beat is f*$%!ing ridiculous. For me, Jay-Z has the best verse. Listen/Download after the cut.

103. Apple Store | LDN.365

posted by on 25/09/2010

Probably one of my favourite stores in London, in fact it probably is. I bought this (MacBook Pro) almost 2 years ago from there, changed my life. I think I’ve touched it every day since that day (minus the week it had to be sent away on repairs. I guess this doesn’t have much to do with London culture but what fascinates me is Apple’s choice of building. Classic Georgian architecture.

All Saints Lookbook

posted by on 25/09/2010

I’ve become more and more into All Saints very season, I wasn’t a fan a few years ago because it all looked too Gothic for me, but they’ve managed to win me over. So  they’ve continued steering away from the typical drapey look in this lookbook and again I really like these looks. Very casual/smart ensembles well suited to our sudden but expected shift in weather. I find the looks are also really simple, there isn’t too much going on or too many layers and personally I like to dress quite simple so these are looks that I would go for. You can find all of these garments on the website, more photos after the cut..

Creative Recreation Vitale

posted by on 25/09/2010

Its been a long while since I’ve seen some Creative Rec sneakers that have tempted me enough to buy. The “Vitale” is part of the sneaker brands AW10 collection; the shoes feature a crepe gum outsole, a cross-laced Velcro strap and come in a black or a cream colourway. I’m liking these, the shape is similar to the Supra Skytops but more refined. The cream colourway is  best in my opinion because it’s main body has that crinkled look which looks quite unique and it’s in at the moment too; also black leather sneakers are tired now  everyone has them so these ones aren’t spectacular. Don’t think these are available in London… because they are not! But if you’re in the states you’ll know where to find them, more photos after the cut…

Tim Soar LFW S/S 2011 Show Recap

posted by on 24/09/2010

As mentioned in LDN.365, I finally got a chance to make use of my LFW press pass by attending the Tim Soar S/S show courtesy of Vitamin Water UK. I like my fashion but everytime I attend these high fashion events, my inner ghetto-side tends to come out as the people are pretentious pricks. Especially at LFW, people go OTT just to get snapped by a street style blog. Get over it. The Tim Soars show we attended was held at Freemasons Hall, the venue showcased all the Fashion Scout designers. More after the cut.

The London Vandal Blog

posted by on 24/09/2010

The London Vandal is a blog run by a group of young people and they focus mainly on graffiti but occasionally you’ll catch some music posts or even a couple ranting sessions! I’ve grown quite fond of this site because it’s very underground, quite controversial and but it’s also genuine. Its regularly updated with really interesting content especially if you are appreciate the art of graffiti. These guys have recently started selling these really cool custom T-shirts, all money made from this is going towards redesigning their site! More after the cut..
