Caribbean Cruising – Haiti & Jamaica | Royal Caribbean

It’s not often that you can claim to have woken up in a different country four days in a row but that’s exactly what happened when Adam and I took to the seas and embarked on our first full length cruise, courtesy of Royal Caribbean. A quick plane ride (please note the sarcasm as this plane […]

SUPER Sunglass Autumn 2010 Collection

posted by on 02/08/2010

Quite a freaky photo no? black shades with black cats, all black everything. It’s the poster for SUPER‘s upcoming autumn sunglass collection. I’m not going to lie, I wanted the black ‘W’ sunglasses before I bought my wayfarers but they were sold-out! I couldn’t find it anywhere else. I do understand why though, they are very limited seeing as they’re handmade in Italy. They’re made with Carl Zeiss lenses and it’s probably what differentiates them from Ray-Ban’s. Peep the whole collection with new models after the cut.

Michael Jackson To Release New Album In November

posted by on 02/08/2010

No not from the grave, Rodney ‘Darkchild‘ Jenkins has announced that he is working on producing the first of many MJ albums containing unreleased material. I love the idea of more music from the greatest artist ever but in my opinion this is purely a way for Sony Records to capitalize on his legacy and make money. I know DJB featured this in his Music Weekly post but I just had to give my take on it.

49. The National Gallery | LDN.365

It’s probably the first Art Gallery I visited back in ’99 on a class trip. Back then I looked at Art like a new-born baby, barely being able to understand the deeper meaning and just touching the surface of many of the paintings without looking too much into it. Now it’s totally different, I appreciate the artwork even the modern ones and can spend a good few minutes staring at each piece.

Whillas & Gunn 2011 Spring/Summer Collection

posted by on 02/08/2010

I’ve never heard of Whillas & Gun before but their lookbook just happened to catch my eye as it’s so well done. The adventure-themed collection is full of clean, simplistic clothing and accessories that are perfect for throwing into your backpack before embarking on a journey. I wouldn’t say it’s following the current ‘military’ trend that seems to be coming in, it’s more about the clean cut well-tailored garments accompanied by a set of classic and durable bag designs. I love the vibrancy of the colours in the lookbook, peep the whole thing after the cut.

Here’s an out take from a product shoot I did with my cousin on my birthday. I couldn’t help but being productive! I need to edit the video for the review, it’s pretty funny thanks to my cousin’s goofyness.

DJB Presents Music News Weekly

posted by on 01/08/2010

We have quite a few series style posts here on Y&Y. We have Eargasms on a Wednesday, Throwback Thursdays on a Thursday (sometimes re-titled Flashback Fridays if we forget to post on a Thursday) and the LDN.365 posts everyday. I have taken it upon my self to produce a series of my own which will focus on music news that has surfaced during the week. Sundays is the designated day for this post so check here every Sunday for your weekly round up. I’ll start with Michael Jackson and a few other pieces of music news. Want to get clued up? Then read on (p.s expect a long post).

48. Tower of London | LDN.365

Another one of London‘s most iconic landmarks. It’s where the Queen keeps most of her crown jewels and stolen goods from the British Empire Era. Like I said in the Buckingham Palace post, I’ll steal back the Kohinoor Diamond. More posts to come, I haven’t had access to a computer.

Photography By Tor Dahlin

Tor Dahlin is a creative from Norway specialising in photography, I’m really into his photography now because as I’ve said before I am a big fan of black and white photos. I really liek this collection because the photos are really detailed in that you can see loads of different shades of the black and white and grey. You can see more of his work by visiting his profile on the Behance Network here, but check these out!
