Caribbean Cruising – Haiti & Jamaica | Royal Caribbean

It’s not often that you can claim to have woken up in a different country four days in a row but that’s exactly what happened when Adam and I took to the seas and embarked on our first full length cruise, courtesy of Royal Caribbean. A quick plane ride (please note the sarcasm as this plane […]

Get To Know | Kyle Lambert – Digital Artist

posted by on 30/08/2010

Yin’s mention of wanting to get into digital painting in yesterday’s Kanye West Tweets Illustrated post has prompted me to write this post. I have been sitting on this post for quite some time now and to be honest I don’t really know why I haven’t posted it earlier, it has sort of been a back up post that I’d resort to if I had nothing else to post but having reviewed this guys work over again I definitely feel I should have posted it weeks ago. For my ignorance I apologise. Now, Kyle Lambert is a talented 23 year old creative that all artists, illustrators and digital designers should get to know. His work is dope if I do say so myself. Get to know more when you read on.

Kanye West Tweets Illustrated

posted by on 29/08/2010

New York Magazine have been illustrating several of Kanye‘s tweets since he joined twitter but now they’ve decided to predict what we should expect from Ye. It’s hilarious as most of them are believable, Kanye himself tweeted about how funny and true they are. As always I do like the illustrator‘s style, I really want to get into sketching and digital painting. Should I invest in a Wacom? More after the cut.

76. Nelson's Column | LDN.365

posted by on 29/08/2010

Here’s another photograph I took during the ‘Golden Hour‘. I think I’ll be taking a lot of LDN.365 photographs at this time of day, the lighting is just perfect. Look at the reflection off Lord Nelson‘s statue. The monument was created to commemorate the great Admiral’s death; he led to several victories including the battle of Trafalgar during which he was killed. Hence why the monument is located in ‘Trafalgar Square‘. Mini-history lesson for ya’ll!

Spoken Poetry

posted by on 29/08/2010

I’ve never really read poetry other than times I was forced to during my GCSE English literature days and back then I hated the subject. The whole idea of sitting down and reading books was such a bore, I’d prefer to play GTA on ps2 all day long. Somehow I managed to get a B in the subject though and after school was over, I started reading. Now 6 years later, I’ve read over 100 books but never poetry. Till a few weeks ago when my friend asked me to read some of hers and then she linked me to a few live performances. The raw emotion portrayed by the girl is amazing, so deep. After the cut to peep it.

Kanye West's G.O.O.D Music Fridays – Week 1

posted by on 28/08/2010

Yeezy announced last week that his label, the G.O.O.D. music family will be dropping brand new tracks every Friday till the end of the year. For a Yeezy stan like me this is amazing news and wait for it, he’s just gone and topped that by announcing a 5-track EP with his big brother, Jay-Z. I’m sure the first track off that EP is the Power remix and the 2nd is this. After the cut to listen, for my thoughts and more.
