Caribbean Cruising – Haiti & Jamaica | Royal Caribbean

It’s not often that you can claim to have woken up in a different country four days in a row but that’s exactly what happened when Adam and I took to the seas and embarked on our first full length cruise, courtesy of Royal Caribbean. A quick plane ride (please note the sarcasm as this plane […]

It has been a fortnight so it’s time for me to update ya’ll with my favourite R&B and Hip-Hop songs that I have added to my iTunes library in the past 2 weeks. Starting off with my most played song in the past few weeks, Cee-Lo‘s ‘Fuck You’. His managed to use such a disrespectful song and managed to make it sound damn good. The song is 60s/70s esque, it has that timeless feel to it. Much much more on the flipside.

If you haven’t seen the viral video for this song then click here.

For those that don’t Cee-Lo Green aka Thomas DeCarlo Callaway is best known as a member of Goodie Mob and recently Gnarls Barkley. He’s now in the process of recording his 3rd solo LP. If this is a taste for what’s to come then I can’t wait.

Last week I dedicated Throwback Thursdays to the King of R&B, R.Kelly. His music has gone some what down hill in the past 5 years, it’s just not as good as it used to be. Saying that I did like his World Cup song and these 2 leaks from his upcoming project are pretty good. Especially ‘She Knows What She Wants’ featuring Rick Rozay. In my opinion it’s one of his better songs in the past 5 years.

I know he looks any little fresh kid/white boy rapper but he’s actually pretty dope and I love the production. It’s got the old school chilled out hiphop vibe to it which makes it good for weekend listening. I only started listening to this dude last week but his mixtape is bonkers, can play it the whole way through. Here’s a few of my favourite joints off it.

Mac Miller - Nikes On My Feet – Link, Kool Aid & Frozen Pizza – Link, Don’t Mind If I Do – Link

I never really liked this guy’s music as I’m not a fan of UK ‘Grime‘ but this a bit more mainstream and I’m kinda sure it’s gonna blow up in the charts. Guess who’s on the hook? DJ Yasmin. I never knew she could sing, just adds to the array of her talents. For me, she makes this song with her soft vocals in the chorus.

Devlin – Runaway (feat. Yasmin) – Link

As you already know, Drake is one of my favourite artists. Here’s all the songs that he’s leaked that are by him/he features on. Some are real dope, others not as good.

Drake – I’m Ready For You (Original Beat, Tagless) – Link,  What If I Kissed You – Link,
Choklate – Overdose – Link
Pimp C – What Up (feat. Bun B & Drake) – Link

A few tracks from NERD‘s and Lupe Fiasco‘s upcoming projects. The NERD tracks are classic Pharrell productions, they’re not amazing but if you’re a fan of the group you’ll dig it. I’ve also added a bonus cut from Diggy Simmons’ new mixtape featuring the pair. The track is bonkers, the kid has a massive future ahead of him.

N.E.R.D. – Party People – Link, Help Me – Link
Lupe Fiasco – Go To Sleep – Link
Diggy Simmons - Oh Yeah! (feat. Pharrell & Lupe Fiasco) – Link

A few leaks, unreleased cuts, mixtape joints from Tremaine Neverson aka Trey Songz. I’m liking the ‘Love Faces’ and ‘Alone’ a lot but they’re not anything new from him. Same sex filled lyrics and mid-beat R&B, it’s a bit played out. I loved his ‘Can’t Be Friends’ and I’m still hoping for more songs

Trey Songz - Alone – Link, Novacaine – Link
