This will perhaps be the most metrosexual post on the site because I’m actually reviewing a cream. Not just any ordinary cream, Chanel’s Hydramax . I’m not going to lie I make sure I don’t have any dry skin on my face before I leave home, you don’t want the ladies to catch you slipping. More after the cut.
Before ya’ll start calling me homo and what not, admit it – all of you use moisturiser to cover up dry skin. If you don’t, I guess your blessed with amazing skin or you’re happy chicks giving you disgusted looks at your face. If you want brand history of Chanel, check out my previous review: click here.
I’ve been using the same moisturiser for the past 5-6 years and one thing that has always bothered me about it is ‘Shiny Face‘ syndrome. For those that don’t know, shiny face syndrome is what most coloured people suffer from during the warmer seasons. Bad moisturisers can cause it.
I can’t give you a great personal recommendation for the product explaining all the different advantages it has using terminology such as t-zones. Personally I have had dry skin problems in the past so I have to hydrate my skin without making it greasy. Like I stated earlier my current product works fine during the winter but in the summer, it makes me look like someone who just got fresh off the boat. Spotylicious.
I was amazed how soft the Hydramax made my skin feel, it felt real fresh. In fact the fragrance was really clean and crisp, not too medical or nauseating.
Does it actually make a difference?
To be fair, these past few days that I have been experimenting with it; my skin hasn’t gotten greasy despite the humid temperature. I can give a more clearer perspective on this after a few weeks of use but I know my skin is definitely a lot smoother.
I’ll definitely recommend it to all ya’ll. You can find Hydramax at your local Chanel retailer, if not here is Chanel’s stockist number: 0207 493 3836.
