9. We Breathe Football | LDN.365

posted by on 23/06/2010

In London, we breathe football. Like the little boy in the photograph, I also fell in love with the beautiful game at a very young age. Most of us Londoners breathe football; the fact that the 3 of the top 4 teams in England last year are based in this fantastic city proves it. What more I can I say? We love football and I hope the national team doesn’t let us down in 12 hours. The clocks ticking, I’m just counting the hours.

Dreams Keep Me Going

posted by on 23/06/2010

As far as I can remember I’ve always been a dreamer, from silly superhero dreams as a child to billionaire money making dreams as a teen to more realistic dreams of working in the creative entertainment industry in recent years. I don’t see how a person cannot have a dream or a goal in life, you always need something to keep you motivated.

Music Is Remedy @ Rhythm Factory Recap

posted by on 22/06/2010

The night started of slightly slow. I was slightly pissed off that I had been waiting over 2 hours before the night started. However once the live band started I was impressed. The so-called remedies played their instruments remarkably well and there was even the addition of a saxophone. The most notable acts of the night were Wilson, Shereka and Ed Sheeran (the headline act). Continues after the cut.

Ryan McGinley x M.I.A Photoshoot

posted by on 22/06/2010

The New York Times magazine hired Award winning photographer Ryan McGinley to shoot the one of the industry’s most provocative stars M.I.A.. If you don’t know who she is then you’ve clearly been living in a cave, fix up! She’s known for her daring lyrics, strong political views and her unapologetic nature; in fact her most recent video was so explicit that it was banned from YouTube. She’s become a hell of a lot famous since Jay-Z sampled one of her lines for the mega-collaboration track ‘Swagger Like Us’ since then she’ was listed as one of the top 100 most influential people by Times Magazine. Full shoot after the cut.

J. Cole -' Who Dat' Music Video

posted by on 22/06/2010

Finally we have a video for J. Cole’s first single off his upcoming untitled debut album. When I first heard the song I wasn’t much of a fan but now it gets heavy rotation on my iTunes, the beat really grew on me. I certainly hope J. Cole gets the promotion he very much deserves from his label Roc-Nation. I’ve been a fan since the very first time I heard his mixtape, his storytelling ways in ‘Lights Please‘ instantly blew me away. Certainly an artist to watch this year, video after the cut folks. WHO DAT!

I think this is one of the best photographs I’ve taken, I love lighting on the building and the colours of the sky mixed with the clouds. For tomorrow’s one I’m going to move away from the building photographs and focus on some people shots, culture, festivities. That doesn’t mean I won’t be posting any more shots like this, clouds are one of my favourite objects to photograph as they look so different each time. More tomorrow.
