Gay? No, far from it. I consider myself a metrosexual, for those that don’t know what it is; it’s basically a stereotype for men who take care of themselves, well groomed and styled. This does tend to annoy other narrow-minded people who have no sense of style and you instantly receive the ‘oh he’s gay’ jibe, give me 5 minutes with your girlfriend and i’ll ……… yeh haha, continues after the jump.
I don’t know where my interest in styling and grooming myself to came from, 6 years ago I’d be the scruffiest kid in school with mowgli like hair and now I rarely leave the house without my fringe being straightened. You will be surprised how many dude actually straighten their hair these days, I’ve been doing my hair like this for a few years now and it seems like a lot of dudes have copied me. Maybe it’s because of one of my idols, David Beckham; Ya’ll can’t diss Becks, he’s more than just a regular dude, he’s a brand. You think he’d have all this success if he didn’t look after himself like this?
Fashion, umm an addiction and a passion. I like to style myself to perfection (slightly big headed, couldn’t find the right term). It’s one’s swagger about oneself that makes him who he is. This quote sums up my view on looking good the best:
‘Clothing is an outward expression of a man’s state of mind. Style is just a reflection of my mood, attitude & character, It’s my voice before I even say a word.’
I’m 100% sure that I will get dissed for this post but oh well, it doesn’t bother me, I just want ya’ll to be aware instead of judging. My site, my views.
