Caribbean Cruising – Haiti & Jamaica | Royal Caribbean

It’s not often that you can claim to have woken up in a different country four days in a row but that’s exactly what happened when Adam and I took to the seas and embarked on our first full length cruise, courtesy of Royal Caribbean. A quick plane ride (please note the sarcasm as this plane […]

New Yorkers: Leaving State

posted by on 14/05/2010

I’ve never been abroad other than India without having someone older and wiser around so this is quite a strange new experience, I’ve lived alone in the past but was only 3 hours away from them. One of my friends lives in New Jersey so I’ve decided to head out of NY on my ones and go visit. Continues after the cut.

New Yorkers: A Cut Above The Rest

posted by on 13/05/2010

We conquered one of the sights today that is the famous Empire State Building! Anyone who has been up there at night will agree when I say the view was breath-taking. In the photos you can see a mirage of lights forming the shape of all the tall buldings in the city…

Alicia Keys – "Unthinkable" Official Music Video

posted by on 12/05/2010

Easily my favourite song off Alicia Key‘s most recent album, it’s penned by Drizzy Drake and you can hear him in the background. The concept of the video is clever; it’s set around the 1950s where interracial relationships had major consequences (life threatening) and Alicia Keys has to deal with this problem during the video. Ya’ll may recognise the male lead, Chad Michael Murray aka Lucas from One Tree Hill. I used to watch that show religiously back in the day haha. Video after the cut.

New Yorkers: Harsh Realities

posted by on 12/05/2010

So today turned out to be very disorganised despite leaving home with plans to visit Soho and Brooklyn. Started off well for me as my bank account started working again and I was finally able to purchase the RayBans I wanted. Continues after the cut.

New Yorkers: Times Square

posted by on 11/05/2010

New York, I love you but you’re tiring me out. I write this post as I lay in bed watching an American TV show that I watch religiously but will not name as I probably will lose my virtual ghetto reputation. I’ve been wanting to write this post for the past 2 hours but have epically failed to conjure energy to move my fingers and type. Any whom, today we decided to hit up the clichéd touristy sights of downtown Manhattan. More after the cut.

New Yorkers: A City That Never Sleeps

posted by on 11/05/2010

Cant believe how amazing this city is I am definitely coming back to live here for a few years, I need the full NY experience. They say it’s the city that never sleeps and I can see why, its very metropolitan, so vibrant & multicultural, there is so much to see and so much to do.

Daily Dose of Dopeness

posted by on 10/05/2010

I’ve had 4 hours sleep, majorly jet-lagged still but we’ve been trying to plan our day and head out by 8:30am. Rise and GRIND. I’ve got some verse from quite possibly my favourite song of all time (yeah!). It’s J. Ivy’s bars from Kanye‘s ‘Never Let Me Down’ and the song also features the HOV. I’ve added a few photos that I’ve taken from the Hotel room after the cut.

New Yorkers: Touch The Sky

posted by on 10/05/2010

I’m writing this whilst sat on board a Boeing 747 that is floating somewhere above the Atlantic ocean. I’m not particularly scared of airplane journeys but Yang on the other hand is somewhat terrified but luckily for him this time he has other half with him to calm his nerves. Whereas I’m sat next to one of my best friends who is probably even worse than him, she was chanting Chinese rituals as the plane begins to embark on the 7 hour journey to New York City. Continues on the flipside.

Most of you that read the site frequently will probably already know that we’re leaving for New York tomorrow. We’ll be in the Big Apple for 8 days, so if any of ya’ll want to holla at us, hit us up on twitter. As for the rest of ya’ll I will keep you updated with a daily post with my favourite photo from that day and if I have time I may even add a video. Definitely documenting our trip in video since I acquired a 550d camera yesterday.
