Typical morning: wake up, fix up look sharp then leave home: get to bus stop wait 10mins for a bus so I’m already pissed, get to station and can’t get on the first 3 trains because they are too full so now I’m fuming (to be honest the first few trains carry all the freshies, that B.O is just too much), then the train is stuck in the tunnel- congestion in the tube.. Are u kiddin me!? Takes about 5mins to get off the train because some people do not understand the very simple concept of: please allow commuters off the train first…
Then some stupid lady treads on my fresh Atos with her Primark heels- now I’m just livid, so I refrain from strangling her and get to the northern line platform only for them to announce that there are severe delays due to a person under a train because some plonker decides to kill him self so he thinks “I know I’ll just throw myself under a train plus disrupt everybody elses’ lives”. All this stress for a nice big dent in my bank account, don’t get me wrong I’m grateful that as students we at the very least get 30% off season tickets but its still extortion, £81.10 for a monthly is madness, this money could buy me a fresh pair of sneakers every month..or pay some of my rent is what I should be saying.
I hate it when people force themselves on the train when there is no space to accommodate them; a tip would be to analyse your body and then check out the space on the train, if your too big for it then let someone else get on..preferably a buff chick. One Station I try avoid at all costs or should I say I visit when I feel like I need to lose weight is: Bank. I’m not going to talk too much but come on, are these people trying to kill us? I could swear the walk from the district line to the central line platform is about 2miles- majorly regretting buying a treadmill! I might as well just walk home from Bank surely.
Have you ever asked why London is such a miserable place? Aside from ridiculous taxes and extortionate prices, its London transport of course! Everyone is so grumpy in the morning as it is and then you have to deal with traveling via tube to work- some people get excited and try to over take you.. but where are they going when the whole place is clogged with commuters? I’m not going to lie I am one of those people who overtake people on the underground because they must think this is some catwalk show that they want to be struttin’ in slow motion! Just have to shift them to the side and carry on with my epic journey!
Ain’t nothing better than economy travel don’t you think?… Its always packed, always stinks, mould seeping out of the seats…paradise. The trains can’t even handle our population now, imagine 2012 when the Olympics are happening.. but then again the world is allegedly ending in 2012 so we may not have to deal with it! Well if my oyster card stops working, I know Boris Johnson did not appreciate this post.
