Palladium's Exploration: Pirate Radio

posted by on 31/03/2010

Palladium teams up with VICE and VBS.TV to bring us a short film about Pirate DJ’s featuring Matt Mason who began DJing on pirate stations ICE fm and MAC fm in his teens. He has since become a lecturer and written his own book ‘The Pirates Dilemma‘ exploring the paradox of media piracy whilst serving as a Palladium’s portal to the world of Pirate DJ’s.

The film outlines the history of pirate radio’s dating back in the 60′s til present times. Palladium climb to to the top of run down estates and all sorts to give us first hand experience on how these stations are set up and the extent to which pirate DJ’s go to in order to get their music out there. The film is really interesting, watch it here and then visit the site for more info.
