Caribbean Cruising – Haiti & Jamaica | Royal Caribbean

It’s not often that you can claim to have woken up in a different country four days in a row but that’s exactly what happened when Adam and I took to the seas and embarked on our first full length cruise, courtesy of Royal Caribbean. A quick plane ride (please note the sarcasm as this plane […]

Throwback Thursday

I’m taking it way back this week, a real old school song that just makes everyone jump and dance. Everytime I hear this song I think of the Fresh Prince scene where Will and Carlton perform it on stage. I’ve added that video to the post too, classic! after the jump for the songs.

Swatch hit the scene in 1983 in Switzerland, these guys made plastic watches the ones back in the 90′s- they were very big on the hip-hop scene. They hid in the shadows for a while but now they are back into the spot light with a new collection of Swatches. The collection sports a simple design that screams cool calm and colourful. Shank – Movie Trailer

posted by on 04/02/2010

Shank is the directing debut of artist, poet and music video director, Mo Ali. He has shot loads of music videos for UK Grime artists in the past few years, most famous one being Chipmunk’s ‘Beast’ video. The film is pretty much like Kidhulthood set in the decaying future where London is run by gangs. Film features Bashy, Adam Deacon (KiDULTHOOD, AdULTHOOD) and Kaya Scodelario (Skins) , Colin Salmon and Eddie Kadi. I swear Adam Deacon is in every single ‘urban’ film that is set in London. Oh I do make cameo in one of the scenes in this film, well not so much a cameo! I was an extra. Anyway the trailer looks real good, I expect premiere tickets Mo!

Hedi Slimane

I have come to the conclusion, that every guy, who gives a fuck about fashion, would probably want to be Hedi Slimane. My reasons? He is pretty much Jesus when it comes to the fashion world..and spends his days taking photos of the most beautiful women. Retired creative director of Dior, Founder of Dior Homme in the 90′s, Author, Photographer, Stylist…the list goes on.

Onitsuku Tiger Wooden Shoe

posted by on 03/02/2010

First thing I thought was: who the hell is gonna rock that! But no, it’s a shoe sculpture put together quite beautifully actually without any nails! Designed by Onitsuku Tiger, the shoe sculpture was created in a traditional wood-shop in Japan by expert craftsmen and is part of a campaign titled ‘Hidden Tiger’. Each panel in the shoe is a compartment holding different strands of art work depicting a story, it looks quite interesting.

Jay Electronica @ Jazz Cafe

Just thought I’d give ya’ll a heads up on this Jay Electronica gig, I only found out he was coming over to the UK to do 2 shows yesterday and I’ve already bought my tickets. I haven’t been a fan for that long but I know for a fact he is going to blow up this year with his debut album set to drop at some point. Come on, Exhibit C is easily the best Hip-Hop song I have heard this year and it has taken the airwaves by storm just by promotion through Jay’s twitter. It’s nuts. You don’t want to miss out, details on tickets after the cut.

Louis Vuitton Taiga Collection

posted by on 03/02/2010

I don’t really know I’m featuring their products on Y&Y because I know I’ll never I won’t be able to afford their products till I graduate from University and get a real job. Actually I can afford it but my bank account won’t quite recover from it for a while and I don’t intend on eating rations for 3 months till the next student loan drops. Anyway Louis Vuitton just revealed their Taiga leather collection, I must say I love the shoulder bags and the backpack. They’re so clean cut and you can tell they’re premium quality. I’m 22 in July so feel free to purchase me the backpack, I would love you long time. More photos after the jump.

Sex Sells But Unfortuantely Diesel Sell Jeans

posted by on 02/02/2010

Another great campaign from Diesel; I have always liked this brand for two reasons: their clothing and their campaigns. Their campaigns are usually very clever but simplistic and quite tongue and cheek which gives it quite an edgy/relaxed ethos that would appeal to the relevant audience.
