Caribbean Cruising – Haiti & Jamaica | Royal Caribbean

It’s not often that you can claim to have woken up in a different country four days in a row but that’s exactly what happened when Adam and I took to the seas and embarked on our first full length cruise, courtesy of Royal Caribbean. A quick plane ride (please note the sarcasm as this plane […]

Award Tour Haiti Relief Project Tees

posted by on 23/01/2010

The peeps over at Award Tour have been making major movements in order to support the relief efforts in Haiti. Last week they came out with the beanies and now Phil & Co have come out with the t-shirt. Design is so visually pleasing, I honestly love the color-combination and typography. The big bold typeface at the front as well as smaller intricate typography at the back which makes it classy. More photos after the jump.

From the makers of  ‘Adulthood‘ and ‘Kidulthood‘ I bring forth a 3min teaser mapping the ins and outs of Noel Clarke’s new film From beginning till end the sequence is packed with a healthy mixture of drama and humour that will defo have you bookmarking for its release! If you’ve seen Clarke’s other films you’ll definitely recognise a few of the actors, such as: Adam Deacon, Ashley ‘Bashy‘ Thomas and Noel Clarke himself. Other popular stars include: Michelle Ryan, Emma Roberts and my wifey Eve. Noel has brought together quite an impressive cast, the filming & editing reaching Hollywood standards and judging by the teaser, this could be his best film yet! Due for release later this year, watch it after the cut..

Wrangler – We Are Animals

posted by on 22/01/2010

Wrangler have revealed their new campaign for the Spring/Summer season, it goes by the name of RED. I can see why it’s called that haha, the campaign is pretty powerful and revolves around the human’s animal instincts. The photographer has beautifully captured the raw emotions (adrenalin, tension and passion) of each person. To me, it’s like each person is unleashing their ‘inner-animal,’ just letting themselves go. This campaign does remind me a lot of Levi’s ‘Go Forth‘ campaign which ironically was shot by the same photographer. More photos after the jump.

Prada's "First Spring" of 2010

posted by on 22/01/2010

Prada collaborate with filmmaker & photographer Yang Fudong (who has produced some amazing work in the past, view here)to produce a stunning campaign they named “First Spring” for their spring/summer collection. The campaign consists of several print ads and a short film. I quite like the print ads, they are very Prada.. very simple and classy. Yang paints a Crouching Tiger Hidden Dragon meets Mary Poppins picture with the flying umbrellas and oriental scenery.

Clockwise Clothing

Randomly stumbled across this ‘indie’ DC-based brand when someone retweeted them on twitter. After some googling I found out they’ve been around in the US for a few years now and have stars like Kid Cudi rocking their tees. As a designer myself, I’m a fan of big print designs that consist of dope typography so I’m in awe of some of their designs. Some of Clockwise Clothing‘s design are simple like the ‘RUN DMV’ one which is for the peeps of DC, Maryland & Virginia but simple is always effective. Maybe I should design a ‘RUN LDN‘ tee. After the cut for photos of their Spring Collection.

Ray-Ban 2010 Spring Eyewear

posted by on 21/01/2010

After a very successful Spring Collection for 2009 with the wayfarers dominating modern pop culture, Ray-Ban have unveiled their 2010 collection which features all of the classic models with a selection of new colors. At first glance they all look the same to me but after looking closely you can tell there are a few changes like a carbon-infused aviator frame. I think I may cop one of the wayfarer models but may just hold out for the new Super models.

Axe & Lynx Effect New Adverts

posted by on 21/01/2010

I’ve always been a fan of Axe/Lynx’s advertising. They always play around the theme of sex but in such a funny and cheeky way, these 2 new commercials do just that. The Lynx advert is about how making a good impression at the right time gets you places and the Axe advert is about cleaning your balls haha. After the jump for the videos.

Work By Ivan Puig

posted by on 21/01/2010

Ivan Puig is a Spanish born artist, his work is beyond anything I have seen; every image he creates has a meaning. It seems when you look at any of the photos they contradict themselves somehow.. I have no idea how he does it but I love the ideas behind it especially the sinking chairs and the fly hanging on the string. Check out some more after the jump.

Throwback Thursday

posted by on 21/01/2010

Very quickly (gotta get to work), today’s throwback tunes are by Lauryn Hill. I have no clue what happened to this woman, she just dropped off the face of the earth. But none the less wen she was on the scene, she displayed an immense amount of talent- such an amazing vocal artist and equally an amazing rap artist! I’m posting ‘Turn your lights down low’ feat legendary Bob Marley and ‘Ready or Not’ from when she was part of the Fugees and her cover of ‘Redemption Song’ live…
