Caribbean Cruising – Haiti & Jamaica | Royal Caribbean

It’s not often that you can claim to have woken up in a different country four days in a row but that’s exactly what happened when Adam and I took to the seas and embarked on our first full length cruise, courtesy of Royal Caribbean. A quick plane ride (please note the sarcasm as this plane […]

The Karate Kid

I’m sure all of ya’ll have watched the original at some point in your childhood, well they’re remaking it and it looks pretty good from the trailer. The remake features the son of Fresh Prince, Jaden Smith and Jackie Chan as his Sensei. I can’t wait to see if Jackie can pull off Mr.Miyagi’s legendary role. I’ll never forget ‘Wax on! Wax Off!’ and the moment where he caught the fly with chopsticks. After the cut for the trailer and some photos.

Hopenhagen

Hopenhagen is a movement generated by the International Advertising Association representing the global advertising industry in support of the United Nations Climate Change Conference that just recently took place in Copenhagen. I only just stumbled across this clever public awareness campaign by Ogilvy & Mather agency yesterday; the style of ad has been done before with the overlapping images of people from different ethnic backgrounds but the copy is what does it for me, its so powerful. “6.8 billion people. One Voice. Together we can fight climate change. Join the movement at Hopenhagen.org” More posters and video from this campaign after the cut.

Happy Tree Friends.. Really?

posted by on 22/12/2009

Aside from Boondocks, Happy Tree Friends is one of the funniest cartoons I have seen; it’s like a really extreme version of Tom & Jerry. Not everyone likes this because it can be slightly over the top, personally I just think its really disturbing but hilarious if you have that morbid sense of humor.

Ukulele Kid

As a guy I hate using the word ‘cute’ to describe things but this kid is actually cute and he is mad talented for a 5 year old. He plays guitar better than me! the fact he can’t speak a word of english makes him more adorable. He is the latest YouTube phenomenon with almost 8 million views in just over 2 weeks. Check out his acoustic cover of Jason Mraz‘s hit song ‘I’m Yours’ on the flipside.

Lady Gaga x David LaChapelle

posted by on 22/12/2009

Like always David LaChapelle‘s work never ceases to amaze me. This time he’s teamed up with the woman (questionable) of the moment, Lady Gaga to create artwork for the deluxe version of her Monster album. As much as I dislike her and her over the top outfits, I think she looks surprisingly good in these shots, she has a body off Baywatch but a face off Crimewatch. The shoot is in his iconic theatrical style and it features Gaga in several stages of undress, which doesn’t surprise me cos this chick never seems to cover up. I’m sure it would have caused a media frenzy if it was someone like Beyoncé or Rihanna instead of Gaga. Full shoot after the jump.

Uniqlo +J Spring/Summer 2010 Collection

posted by on 22/12/2009

Here’s the first look into the upcoming  +J collection from the hugely popular collaboration between fashion designer Jil Sander and Japanese brand Uniqlo. It’s the second season of the collaboration and again we see more of the iconic simplicity and fresh clean looks for both men and women. Collection will launch at the main London stores on 14th January 2010. I’m definitely going to make sure I skip class to be there because last time I missed out on the blazer I wanted SMH. I need some blazers in my life. A few more photos after the jump.

Kano – "More Than One Way" Video

posted by on 21/12/2009

Kano has taken a new musical direction and it’s definitely a good look. Especially since the last single which was full of auto-tune, made me wonder did he not get Jay-Z’s D.O.A.? but anyway, I am liking the video for this single too – it’s dark and deep just like the song. I hope he gets the commercial success he deserves and I’m not just saying that because he’s an EAST London boy too. E6! video after the jump.

Imma start of this week with a real dope song from Jay Electronica. Many of you have probably been sleeping on this dude’s music, he’s been on the internet for a good few years now but has yet to release a debut album. This track is supposedly off his debut record which is set drop early next year. Produced by one of my favourite producers, Just Blaze, always a pleasure to listen to his work. Links and more after the jump.

Adidas Originals Spring 2010 Highrise

posted by on 20/12/2009

To be honest, I’ve never really been a big fan of Adidas sneakers always been a Nike fan boy. I didn’t even like the overly hyped Jeremy Scott collection. They were a bit too ‘Lady Gaga’ for my liking, especially the one with 3 tongues; it’s just a bit WTF? I’m not a Adidas hater though. I love their new originals model ‘Highrise.’ At first glance, you notice the snake embossed premium leather that is spread throughout the sneaker. The signature adidas 3-stripes are portrayed through perforated strips in the mid-panel. These are definitely dope and a bargain at £70. These are available now on the Adidas Originals site. More photos after the cut.

Omarion's Hoodie

posted by on 20/12/2009

Omarion’s new video is dedicated to the King of Pop; the song is a load of rubbish but i appreciate the video because the choreography is very well done – really sharp and the structure is somewhat reminiscent of a mixture of MJ’s videos (particularly ‘Bad’) with the morbid set design and synchronized choreography. I think a lot of Jackson fans will appreciate this, check it out.
