With winter glooming, there is nothing better than the comfort and warmth of a cashmere jersey, nice cosy wool scarf and hat paired up with an elaborate finishing of eskimo-esque boots and not forgeting that hot cup of coffee (to add some edge to it).

tattooman

Tattoos have always had negative connotations; thugs, gangsters, hooligans, just a few words you would have been given when asking anyone about tattoos even a decade ago. But in the last 10-15 years tattoos have become the latest fashion accessory, with everyone from Trace Cyrus to Chris Brown getting inked; and when I say inked I don’t mean the odd word here and there I mean completely covered in colours.

tribal

I’m running out of superlatives to use on this shoot by Herring & Herring photography for D Mode Magazine, it’s simply amazing. I’ve not seen many ‘tribal’ photoshoots before but these photos are stunning; the vivid colors and a great infusion of tribal artwork into a modern fashion shoot. Though I do find it surprising that they decided to use face/body-painted Asian models instead of a Black model. More photos after the jump!
